I am hoping the Tax-paying public. Imagine it will end up in some offshore account however.

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread
St Chalet replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
If we have agreed a pre-contract with Ward I bet he made sure we signed it there and then. Doesn't seem to add up though, we could have had him for free in January as well. -
Bloody hell, a 250 stong sing song and someone threw a drink at the opposition (she later apologised). To put it into context there was more violence at St Mary's during the last derby. Hardly the explosive civil war people were be expecting. However the markets are ****ting it, the rand lost nearly a whole 0.5% of its value against the pound since the weekend!

Please god let this lot be the interested party in Pompey! http://www.ibaseuk.com/2.html

When should I break it to Rob Lloyd that I am not really interested in buying Pompey and I am really surprised that my interest appears to be have taken so seriously?

Agree, but they won't. These are the same fears as when Mandala came into power, then when Mbeki took over and laterly when Mr Zuma assumed control. 16 Years on they are still treading the tightrope pretty well, the guys who are really in control (The economics guys behind the scenes) know that they can either keep on the plan of gradual re-distribution of wealth that will result in sustained economic growth of throw the towel in and return to the stone-age like they have done up the road. If it does all go to rat-**** does anyone want to buy my house down there?

I've not lived there, just visited a number of times. At risk of doing an Alpine Saint apprasial of our tactics I'll refrain from posting all I know ;-) I just don't believe it is the violent / soon to be Zim Tinder-box many portray it as.

It's just like a matchday thread, loads of posters who have never lived in South Africa commenting on the country as if it were personal experience.

It was under the misleading thread title of "Papa's T-Shirt" LOL http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=668763&postcount=4

Following on from the completion and return of the Notice of Intended Prosecution form you will likely get an offer of Fixed Penalty of £60 and 3 points. If you are lucky you might get offered a Speed Awareness Course depeding on the local Safety Partnership's policy. This site is the bible and the forum section members will give you general advice based on your case. http://www.pepipoo.com/

Agree with all of that. Lino saw it, ref didn't. Defender was booked as well (could have been red).

I have seen 20k seats empty because of segregation issues that didn't seem to matter on the way there, outside the ground or after the match.

I remember one of the more reliable posters on here saying that the perm fee was £500k should we wish to acquire him.

Kelvin 7 - Not a huge amount to do came for crosses well, kicking was average. Harding 8 - Had to come on to left foot too much but matched their dangerous #10 stride for stride. Jaidi 7 - Solid in the air. A little ponderous on the floor. Fonte 9 - Pure class, only thing missing was a pipe and slippers, he has that much time. Mills 7 - Did what he had to, not much going forward. Wotton 6 - Didn't add much going forward, thought he protected CB's ok. Hammond 7 - Lively and covered a lot of ground, not pretty today but good job. Antonio 8.5 - They couldn't play him today, scared of his pace. Papa 6.5 - Frustrates the hell out of me, not even he knows what he is going to do. Lallana 8 - In and out as our focal point seemed to be right hand side. Took goal well and was neat on the ball. Lambert 8.5 - Led the line well, Scored one, assist another and the cross he sent over eventually led to the 3rd. With him in the side we always have goals in us. Gilett 7 Connoly 7 Perry (1 minute)

Great day out, Great Support and Great result. We should make Wembley a regular venue for us. -
The irony of the Pompey saga is that the truth that is gradually emerging is funnier than anything we could make up. I see it has gone very quiet on the buying front. Potential cynics on here may question whether Baloo's plan was always to buy back the club having freed it of a bit of Tax and supplier debt. What price a cheap deal with AA that looks at 30p in the pound but Son of a Gun Run gets a hefty fee for the land? "What about the points deduction that would incur though" I hear our fishy friends cry. Well lads, it was never about football and your squalid ****ty little club is being used as a public vehicle to shift cash. The plan is actually genius, Football clubs are awash with cash and poor governence - who'd notice another basket-case club when surrounded by so many others.

Reasons to be cheerful: As an indirect tax, fuel duty and VAT are easy to collect for the government (Unless you are PFC and see it as revenue). The roads will be clearer and thus less start stop and better economy. I am looking to buy a gas guzzling 4x4 so that market will return to pre-snow panic levels. It may prompt a quicker move to alternative fuels. Due to the pounds Zim like collapse we may have some fuel tourism from our European brothers putting money into our coffers.
