Remind me how pages of pre signing euphoria and meltdown did we have when we were signing him? He didn't work out, just like Salgado and Lamela and Balotelli and plenty of others. Jesus, what club has not wasted big money on one or two players in their time? Get over it FFS

What like Lambert and Fonte and Wanyama and Davis and Rodrigues and Sharp and Loven and......

still a few left, make sure you decrease the seat selection on the view button, otherwise it looks like there is nothing left, but there is a block to the right. Though it took me about 4 or 5 seat selections to find one that it would let me buy, even though they were in green, perhaps people buying the seat at the same time?

Thanks guys

Anyone get a box come up suggesting Tapatalk every time you try and open this site? Only seems to be on my iPad, have the app in cloud but not actually on the device. It's starting to become annoying now, appreciate advice given. Thanks

i think the point is also about the replacements. its all very well losing players to bigger clubs, inevitable for us, there is no doubt about that, just as we bought the likes of lambert and fonte when we div 1. But it's what we are bringing in and though RK might not fancy Charlie Austin, for example, Palace have just bought Cabaye. Yes, people are going to come on here and say this and that about him, but he was ficking class for Newcastle and i would have though a good replacement for Morgan (not as good though). Just seems like we 'are' trying to make a decent profit on transfers.

lol, i'd forgotten about you. You must be looking forward to the summer holidays, when is it you break up?
-
fine, but dont give us the BS about Clyne might be staying...
-
surprising statistics, how do they compare in terms of minutes played on the previous season? Clearly we have sold Shaw and Chambers, so maybe a bit misleading, but just feel that the emphasis has gone a bit.
-
we're a selling club, like just about everyone else aside from Madrid and Barca, and if we get a good enough offer, anyone can go. What was all that crap about Clyne staying? Did you actually buy that from Reed a couple of months ago?
-
every club wastes money on transfers, its ridiculous that Cortese keeps getting blamed for this, which is not an issue, because it was his fault on Gaston and Forren, maybe Poch had more of a say with Osvaldo. But look at Utd - the guy they had on loan, Liverpool - Lovren, Spurs - where do you start, Arsenal - Uzil.... do i need to go through every club and point out their wastage?
-
come on, there is definitely not the same philosophy going on as there was a couple of years ago. It was, and to his credit, Cortese's view that we should be playing young English players and Poch was behind that too. I don't believe that RK buys into that at all. Lets say, its certainly not a directive from the club any more, you cant deny that.
-
You cant, granted, but i just wish the club were a bit more honest about what they say to us, but lets see what he says.
-
and what happened to the process of bring through great young British kids that made us all so proud of how Southampton were leading the way for the national team?
-
Do you really, honestly believe that we can keep selling our best players and get away with it. Do you have figures in mind for Victor and J Rod for the next transfer window?

time, hands, much, on, too, your

oh, I was under the impression it was great season when we finished 8th, which is just 2 of 6th, which was amazing...

no you don't offer a 'more accurate analysis', guess everything is up for debate and reasoning, which you and a few others seem to have a problem with. Im not grizzling about Cortese going, he's history and by his standards, he should be forgotten. But one thing is for sure, in my opinion, there is no doubt whatsoever that he was a lot more ambitious than the current board. That's not to say the current board is wrong, I just think that they will be more than content with PL stability and the odd decent season, which is very well but just don't paint it as ambition. Or maybe in the climate of the super rich clubs, hanging onto their coat tails is ambition? You shoot down Alpine Saint tediously, I'm not a big fan of his either, mainly because of his views on Hillsborough, he is negative and perhaps just a troll but I think his question today did have a point. Though its a point we've been over many times previously. But then we've discussed the 'greatest team, goal, foul.....' many times as well. That's all I think, sorry if my opinion and that of others who don't agree with your full timers club ruin your party, but I was under the impression that was what the point of this forum was about. You don't know me, you don't know my history in supporting this club so please don't patronise me when I happen to have a different opinion. I don't know you, but I might do, maybe you sit behind me in The Itchen, maybe I say hello to you every game, you sound like a knob on here but maybe you're not. You don't need to educate me pal, just don't respond if you feel I have not contributed anything worth responding to. (or was it just because I was right on FFP)

you said, The reason we didn't sell anyone in the 18 months he lasted as CEO in the Premier League was because we were utter gash for the first 6 months, in the bottom half for the second 6 months, and that he sodded off 6 months late in mid-season knowing that all the players who had become good were all about to jump ship due to failing to reach the Champions League in 2013/14 as a result of having an upper-midtable squad with no depth but a lot of empty promises? so despite what you say, we were eight, sort of contradictory.
-
do remind me what position we were in when Cortese left please....

brilliant mate, what a valuable input, though I guess you offer little else.
