Being able to have a football match at St Mary's involving Saints without heavy clouds over the club is a total joy and a huge relief.

The long term future of the club is far more important than the result of this single season. Survival in this division and the creation of the foundations of a sustainable rebuild of our club must be the primary aims of this season. The current squad needs a rebuild, it is likely to take some time. Anyone with expectation of finishing higher than mid-table is adding pressure where is it not needed as part of this process. We all need to have patience. Mid-table would be a very satisfactory result this season. Anything higher than that would be a wonderful bonus, while hoping for this it should not be expected by anyone.

A positive move at the beginning of the long process of rebuilding our club and our team. Welcome Alan. Now let every single Saints fan get behind behind and stay behind Alan and the team without exception and without unrealistic expectation - we are rebuilding, its a tough job and is likely to take some significant time. The rebuild must be done in a sustainable fashion. Come on you Saints!!!!

Or not.... as NASA have moved this again, the next attempt will be Wednesday @ 23:03 BST

Today's launch was scheduled for 23:51, it was held over from yesterday (they announced the time for today then). However for the third day in row the weather has forced the launch to be scrubbed again tonight; thunder storms in the area. They will try again tomorrow at 23:25 BST.

That's because it is currently sitting on pad 39A in Florida; it is due to blast off at 23:51 BST tonight. Once up there the Shuttle will be viable during its chase until it docks with the ISS.

Excellent news, well done KD.

Sign him up, his experience is exactly what we need as we rebuild our club.

This is hopeful news, however until it is formally announced that the deal has been completed and that we are no longer in administration then there will be no sigh of relief from me. Fingers crossed this happens tomorrow. -
League deduct 10 Points - Will apply in L1 Next Season

This was expected, even if the timing was not. If the Football League Board were to have the "balls" to say no points penalty they would have done it when then the met earlier in the month. The reported withdrawal of co-operation from the club is a significant concern; if this did actually happen then it is totally unacceptable from those who are responsible for the withdraw. I wish the Administrator would just shut-up and get on with finding a tangible buyer for the club, his public rant following the decision appeared unprofessional and frankly does little help our real situation; most importantly whether we as a club have a tangible future regardless which division we are destined to play in next season and what points penalty we may or may not have. Lets get on with Saving Our Saints! -
What's the deadline for forming a new club in time for next season?

Southampton are very much in Southern League territory, not even close to Isthmian league these days (my non-league team is Worthing, we are towards the western edge of the Isthmian League area along the south coast), so if a club were reformed (which is how this would be classed if SFC ceased) and accepted at Step 4 then it would be Southern League Division One South & West. The rules are a bit like black magic as the FA national league committee, the various league committees and county FA's all have a say at various levels. In general terms one would expect a new or reformed club to start at the bottom of the senior pyramid which would be around Step 6 or 7; Wessex League Division One being at Step 6; however most examples of reformed clubs over the past few seasons have not come close to this; one main element is much to do with ground grading and the rules are quite complex on that (and have just got even more complex for next season at the Step 5/6/7 levels). With a sensible ground then Step 5 is reasonable (which would almost certainly put us in Wessex League Premier) however Step 4 is possible as mentioned above. It is to complex to answer simply as recent history shows a complete lack of consistency when this type of thing happens - no one should be surprised considering the way football is run in this country. In non-league circles the closed season is often far more busy for football administrators across the pyramid than during the playing season. Timescales will be dependant on the National League Committee and the relevant league board meetings where league constitutions are agreed over the summer. If the worst happens, whomever was setting up the reformed club would need to act quickly. -
Listened to "Hillsborough Stories" on Five Live this evening, presented by Kelly Cates (nee Dalglish); it contains some very moving stories from that day that bring the event back in to a very clear focus 20 years on. To listern, go here... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00jsnyy

The last week has shown defensive ineptitude of a poor Sunday league team. All Wolves has to do today was turn up, nothing else was necessary to take the three points. We looked like very much like a team that are already down today, thankfully Wolves seemed to have little interest in actually slaughtering us like they should have done after they got three easy goals. With regards to the team I just hope they actually turn up on Monday, otherwise it is likely to be another home game without winning.

When it comes down to it, any football fan; even of their biggest rivals; would not wish this on football fans of other clubs. If they are not football fans then they may well have a different view, and frankly if they do then it is not worth a breath in response as they clearly are worthless views from clueless worthless individuals who have no clue what so ever about what really matters in football.

Excellent news; and about bloody time too!

The wheels on their pitch go round and round.

Wow, Wonderful job lads Now lets take this confidence to St Andrews and see if we can make it four. Come on you Saints!!!!
-
Well done to the lads again, now lets take this belief to Ipswich and make it three in a row.
-
Wow, what a wonderful surprise today was, well done to the lads. Now the question is whether this is a real turning point that will be repeated multiple times with the result of us staying up or whether this was just another rare positive blip in what has thus far has been a plummet toward relegation....?
-
Another ****-up by the England cricket team, well done lads!!!! Credit to the West Indies players but they should never have had a chance to get out of jail.
