  1. Some very good individual performances today, the obvious ones have already been mentioned but Iโ€™d like to add Che Adams who held the ball up well and linked up with Ings to great effect, heโ€™s still short of goals and needs a bit more luck but Iโ€™m sure it will come....

    20/21 Kit

https://www.southamptonfc.com TBF, I don't think that they could have done much more, I'm guessing that my grandsons will opt for the away kit and just use the old home one regardless ! They all live overseas so it shouldn't be that noticeable to your average foreigner ๐Ÿ˜‡
  3. My voucher code didn't work so I phoned and it was sorted very quickly so I bought the duvet set for my grandson, didn't really want it but as it was free (apart from postage) I took advantage of it !! I also asked about the kits with the wrong logo on and was told that an announcement is due very shortly, perhaps even today ! The girl was totally exasperated and said " the sooner it's sorted, the better". I think they've had a lot of ongoing grief about it !
  4. I suppose that for the sake of balance, it should be pointed out that we signed VVD for ยฃ12m around the time that John Stones and David Luiz were being sold for ยฃ50mil (ish). Sure the Carrillo signing was a disaster but every team has their good and bad ones and over the last decade we've probably been above average at least !!
  5. A cold and windy Saturday night in Burnley is not the place to expect flowing, creative football so grinding out 3 points for me, is a big positive ! Bouncing (well, scrapping!) back from a spirit crushing defeat to Spurs is also a plus ! If we manage to get the likes of Loftus Cheek and Sessengnon (which is rumoured) then the future will look distinctly brighter ! COYS๐Ÿ’ช
  6. Clearly they are missing their โ€˜extra manโ€™ ( ie. the blue phew!) otherwise there is no way they would have lost to a crap team who recently almost went out of business ๐Ÿ˜ฒ !!
  7. TBF they are refunding as they said they would, I know it's being 'drip fed' but I don't think that this is unreasonable ! I'm personally much more concerned about having been sold 3 home replica shirts which were out of date even before they were received (I sent them to Belgium & Sth Africa) ! Including postage costs, I'm in for around ยฃ200 and have only been advised that "it's complicated and we are working on it" !

    20/21 Kit

I sent them an email the other day and have yet to receive a reply ! I seem to remember that they said they would sort it out before the season began so they've missed that deadline already ! I've spent the best part of ยฃ200 on outdated shirts so really think they should get their finger out and satisfy loyal customers ๐Ÿ˜ต!
  9. My view also, the banter and interaction between the guys was the key to it's successl, take this away and it will be a sea of blandness ! I've no problem with phasing in others (female, BAME etc..) but the important thing is to keep the spirit of the show and I fear that they are about to abandon it โ˜น๏ธ!
  10. I'm getting close to giving up here ๐Ÿ’€ Virtually every time I try to get into the site, I can't, this morning is the first time for ages ! Needs a complete overhaul methinks !!
  11. Do you reckon that they'll pay back my postage to Belgium and South Africa as well as the shirt refunds ?? Not holding my breath TBF ๐Ÿคช
  12. Just bought ยฃ173 worth of shirts for my grandsons which are about to be posted to Belgium and South Africa ! If they pull the plug on this, I'll be about ยฃ200 down and lumbered with out of date products ! I wonder what they'll do to compensate ?? Watch this space.....
  13. Love to see Brentford make it to the PL ๐Ÿ˜€! Have a few good mates who support them, one of whom died prematurely and would be great in his memory, as he obviously never saw them in the top league in his lifetime ! Also had connections at Fulham for a while and have a soft spot for them but my heart prefers the Bees !! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ
  14. Looks like the swear filter has been updated ! Fucking brilliant, if so ๐Ÿ˜ƒ !
  15. Met Razor Ruddock in his Saints days (many years ago) and he came across as a very likeable nutcase ๐Ÿ˜Ž! That was my first impression and everything I've seen since bears this out ! He's never changed and that has to be respected !!
  16. If you tell us where you live, we could offer a comparison !
  17. That's the spirit, Mr Grace, they don't like it up 'em ๐Ÿ˜†!
  18. Totally agree ! I like the new site a lot but numbering was always a great help for referring back to quote a post. Ie. I wanted to read to the end of this thread before going back to yours and it was not so easy without the number ! I'm no tekkie but I wouldn't have thought that this was too difficult, anyway I have faith in Stevie G and it will be looked at in the fullness of time, no doubt ๐Ÿ˜ƒ!
  19. Neville is articulate and clever therefore his bias is used in a pretty subtle way.. Terms like 'leg breaker' and 'VAR must look at that' when it's against Man U and then when Stephens heel is straked by (I think it was Fernandes) he says " I think he did catch him, painful those ones" ! He underplayed every Utd foul and overplayed every Saints one, so much so that when you look at the Stats you are amazed that we had 15 against and they had 14, hardly a one sided foul count !! It's not right that he co-commentates on Utd matches, sitting in the studio is different but taters should be neutral IMHO !
  20. I doubt we'll get anything from this one as they are on fire and have more to play for... Now that Bournemouth have beaten Leicester (strange game) their tails will be up and our chances have diminished ! I'd hate to see the season fizzle out but given the size of the squad, tired legs and the number of games in a very limited period I'm not desperately optimistic ! Please prove me wrong lads, COYS๐Ÿ˜‡
  21. The gulf in class is immense ! These last two days have illustrated just far apart we are.... Deep joy ๐Ÿ‘
  22. The fact that it was live on the BBC meant that my phone was pinging all night ! Strangely, the few Skates that I know have disappeared ๐Ÿ˜‰! Still reeling from the euphoria, deep joy, deep joy...... COYSโค๏ธ
  23. Ings himself has stated that playing alongside Long is a pleasure as he takes defenders away and creates space for him... Ralph on many occasions has used SL for this purpose and unlike you, seems to value his contribution ! For sure, the Watford match was not his best but in the wider scheme of things he still has a role to play and a lot to offer, hence his new contract !
  24. If fit, I would definitely play Shane Long ! His pace on the break, his non stop hassling and nuisance value could unsettle their defence which is their weakest point (not that weak, I accept !) He also gels well with Ingsey and right now I don't think we have a better combination up front. Sure Adams could come good and will get game time but in a match where we're liable to rely on breakaways that's my preferred option !
  25. The thought process seems to be that Obafemi or Long should play alongside Ings or Adams which makes sense if you look at their attributes ! Two strong, willing runners and two hold up/drifting players ! Not saying that they are all of similar ability, just that it's important to get the combinations right ! Seems that Ralph and I are on the same wavelength ๐Ÿ˜Ž!
