Real bad news for the SNP then (whoopee!) as they got 45% of the vote and 80% of the seats ! Wee Jimmy Krankie is very adept at using percentages when it suits but when you bear down on actual numbers the message falls apart ! 2.2 mil voted to stay in the UK in 2014, 1.6mil voted to stay in the EU IN 2016, not that you’d ever know it when you hear the rhetoric of the SNP !

Just for the record my ‘will of the people’ comment was directed purely at the Lib Dem’s for denying the referendum result ! I did not say that it applied to this election !

I take your point but even the top teams tend not to dominate for the full 90 mins, my view is that 60 good mins is better than 30 good mins (which Norwich had) and gives you a better chance to win the match ! We all suffer as fans in the late stages as we struggle to hold the lead and I totally agree that confidence (which is the key) may well improve after these recent results ! Bring on the Geordies....

Many posters seem to concentrate only on the poorer performers and ignore the fact that we were really good for over an hour ! There were many pluses tonight, maybe we should celebrate them !!

On way home now and don’t get the overriding negativity on here so far ! Redmond worked his socks off and caused Norwich all sorts of problems (TBF his final ball does tend to let him down) but he and Long did their jobs effectively ! Bednarek, Ings & Hojbjerg also did well as did Romeu when he came on... Great result and if we can get a further few points v Newcastle, WHU and Villa we’ll start looking upward rather than down COYS
