When you have adults in society who are willing to exploit innocent children then some leeway should be given to 'pat down' searches at matches IMHO ! https://www.childrenssociety.org.uk/what-is-county-lines?gclid=EAIaIQobChMItsPt4Lr64wIVhrTtCh2-6AhvEAAYASAAEgLRgPD_BwE I'm not suggesting that 'county lines' activity is present in football, just that there are many individuals who have no qualms about using kids for ulterior motives !

I suppose the last place you want to go on a wet and very windy day is Burnley ! Done by a long ball for each of the goals ! Lots to learn and improve upon ! Ah well, bring on the Scousers

Like your avatar, uncanny likeness to the real thing

It didn't upset me at all, I just didn't understand where you were coming from ! FYI it would not be possible for these goods to have been shipped via USA as they would not conform to the quota criteria either for USA or Europe. Panama based UA have a branch office in Hong Kong which does the processing and associated paperwork. My main point is still that it's extremely unlikely that the heat sealed logo embellishments would be applied to the shirts anywhere but in Asia for reasons of logistics and cost ! I have done business with a number of sports brands (admittedly not UA) in this area and my judgement is based on experience, that's all !
-
Strange comment, the goods come from China to the EU where there is free movement (at the moment) so USA and Trump are not even remotely involved ! Am I missing something ??
-
Arrived, may I join the ‘dry sheets’ club as well ?
-
I seem to remember the club saying that if you have not received your ST by Mon 12th Aug then you should contact them !! Mine is not here yet, leaving it late but won’t panic until the weekend !!
-
Always hoped there’d be a donkey sanctuary out there for him Good luck Charlie !
-
No way that UA would allow their brand to be tarnished by some random supplier suggested by amateurs !!
-
It would be really unusual to outsource the logo application as sports brands such as UA always have a list of nominated suppliers (this is to ensure that compliance issues are covered) ! Even more unusual to have it done in Europe as the goods would have to be packed, shipped, unpacked, printed, repacked etc... all of which is both inconvenient and more expensive !! Still a cock up whichever way you look at it !!

"Wrong, heal sealed motifs and badges are notoriously unstable (I'm looking at last years kit right now and the logo is peeling !) and any factory in China can have problems ! Having been in some hundreds of factories in Asia over the years and bought similar items as these in huge quantities, I assure you that UA suppliers are not exempt from this danger" ! Not trying to be a smartarse but all along I suspected that the application of the LD logo was the problem ! Given that the shirts are available in UA stores overseas without the logo and that the first team has played with the logo implies that this has been a quality issue rather than a legal one ! It is quite a large badge with shaped edges and will definitely be prone to peeling ! I'll wager that the EBay copies will suffer from this sooner rather than later !
-
Probably the right fit and the right league for him ! If he stays fairly injury free then he could be a good buy for them !!

Current score : KingsHead - 0 White Horse - 0

Nah, that's just a mistake, legally you can get done on the law of 'passing off' if it is that similar !!
-
How did you know I sit in the Kingsland ??

Peacefully in my sleep !

I have one grandson who lives in Cape Town, was here and just gone back. Two grandsons who live in Belgium, currently here but leaving soon. All three traditionally get a new kit each year when they visit us. If I can't buy them by next week then the postage will cost more than the (overpriced) kits !! Given that the club is looking to establish an overseas fan base, it's not exactly a good advert ! Grrrr....
-
No probs, I'm only uptight on this thread as I have some knowledge of the market and more so, my grandsons are agitating for their annual new shirts

Really strange as my Liverpool tickets arrived yesterday, the day after I bought them !

Having said that, you may be right in your assertion that the logo was not sanctioned by the club but we just don't know, do we ? No need to attack me for having an opinion based on my experience in this particular market !

That's the mystery then, why would LD sports not permit (or be able) to sanction the usage of their own logo ?? My best guess is still that the shirts were made with a quality flaw (logo peeling off ?), we're rejected and had to be remade hence the delay ! This would also explain why some shirts have been available on the 'grey market' !! Still a farce however we look at it !!

Personally I can’t see anyone other than UA being accountable for this fiasco ! They are responsible for design, development and manufacture of Saints related products and in line with most other sports brands they do not own their own factories but use regular garment suppliers, predominantly in Asia ! The polyester fabric used in replica shirts is very basic, readily available in the market and the volume required should definitely not be an issue ! The embellishments are printed/heat sealed and can be slightly problematic but TBF that’s what UA are supposed to specialise in so they should have been able to sort it quickly and efficiently ! Saints contract is with them, not the 3rd party manufacturer so the buck has to stop with them ! Quite why they are being defended by the SFC board is beyond me and in the absence of transparency I guess we’ll never really know ! This product basically expires next May so now has a lifespan of around nine months. As the margins are huge, I do feel that they should offer some sort of discount when they do eventually reach the shops ! Not holding my breath, mind.....
