The guy has no shame and should have fallen on his sword months (maybe even years) ago ! Compare him to the Volkswagen chief who accepted responsibility as the man in charge and did the honourable thing ! Clearly only time will tell if he himself is proven to be corrupt but the fact that he has presided over an organisation riddled with scandal and controversy should have been enough for him to stand down and allow a proper external investigation to take place, the fact that he hasn't is quite a damning indictment in itself !!

If he doesn't sign it, this could possibly bring a negative vibe to the club and perhaps dissuade new targets from coming in ! Bl##dy newspapers, it's not as if the club have announced it but these things have a way of causing unnecessary aggro which inevitably has a destabiling effect ! Grrrrr....

I think that he's going to have to ditch the 'Angela asks' and 'Marie says' quite soon because serious political figures need to display their credentials for running a country of nearly 70 million people ! It's a bit like saying "my mate down the pub told me" when referring to football matters, it's just not statesmanlike ! The job requires top level diplomacy, negotiation, consultation and and much compromise along the way ! Sticking to his long held principles of republicanism etc. will not encourage the majority even if they respect his conviction and his right to think and do as he feels !

I met him in the players lounge at Chelsea some years ago and made a bit of a prat of myself ! The pitch was sodden throughout the match and I asked him how he found playing on it (Yes, I had watched the whole game) ? His polite answer was that he didn't know, as he had remained on the bench as an unused sub ! We had a laugh about that and he couldn't have been more sociable, mind you, I think he fancied my daughter so maybe it was nothing to do with me anyway

I have BT infinity broadband hence I get BTsport included but for some reason the picture quality/signal is pretty cr@p especially on their Europe channel ! Still have the full Sky package but am paying over £70 a month and only ever watch sport so I guess that I'm overpaying big time as I don't even watch movies !
