Wanyama is a very effective footballer for us, if he were to improve his range of passing he would be worth a fortune ! The fact that he wants away clearly does not endear him to the faithful (understandably) but that does not diminish his ability ! His disciplinary record is poor but he is more reckless than malicious and IMO his size and stature make him stand out more than most and opposition players often exploit this ! For those suggesting we should get rid of him cheaply, I would say "be careful what you wish for" as he will certainly not be so easy to replace !!

They showed the incident in slow motion a few times on Sky and whilst I agree that it was clumsy, his foot missed the ball by only a fraction, Payet rode the tackle and then clutched his leg as if mortally wounded ! Redknapp emphasised the point that the WHU players influenced the ref who reached for yellow then changed his mind ! If that merits a 5 match ban, then sorry but I consider it to be grossly excessive ! My glasses may be rose tinted but I reckon that I'm not alone in complaining about this decision !

Even Bilic just said that there was no contact although he considered that Vic was 'out of control' !
-
Watch the red card incident closely and you will clearly see the Wanyama had his eyes only on the ball, missed it by a fraction and did not actually make direct contact with Payet (he made a huge meal out of it) and Clattenberg changed his mind based on the WHU players reactions ! If Vic gets a 5 match ban for that, then it is all out of proportion ! The Byram yellow was much more dangerous and the Valencia one not far behind !

Red my arse ! Clattenburg does us again

Yoshida !

If Accrington get a point from one of their 2 games in hand then the Skates will drop out of the play-off places ! Mind you, from their own (deluded) perspective, they are equal top, 16 points behind Northampton

Oh dear, 'ow sad, never mind

Leicester City = a breath of fresh air ! Gives hope to Saints and similar non 'top teams ' Good on them !

Still showing as Monday 8pm on the Saints official website ! -
I guess that there is a difference between 'paid in full' and 'all debts settled' but as long as all parties agreed to the deal (it didn't go to court, so we must assume that this was the case) then it is actually fair and equitable and certainly totally different to a CVA ! Had we used the Skate approach, the creditors would have been well f#cked, so whatever the actual details, we don't need any lectures from the fishy few !!

How long before you/we start to get really worried
eurosaint replied to Batman's topic in The Saints
it's great to see the Saints recent revival for two reasons : a) Our team is doing well ! b) The idiots who call for sackings after a few losses are make to look even more stupid ! Surely a bit of calm reasoning is preferable to over-the-top, kneejerk reactions ? We have recovered from a mini slump in results because the board, the manager and the players kept cool heads and worked together ! Had we listened to some of the muppets on here, Koeman would have been sacked, Long, Mane, Pelle, Davis & Wanyama would have been sold and (after selling the club) the new board would be starting all over again ! No doubt we will have another blip but I guess it's too much to ask for a bit of patience and common sense ? Just seems to me to be infantile behaviour which brings only negative vibes and serves no useful purpose ! COYS -
Strangely, in the 3 matches he has played in since his return, he hasn't actually had that much to do so you can argue that our success has more to do with the new back 3 system rather than his individual performance ! His presence may well be a big factor but without having to make the saves I suppose that this is difficult to prove ! The bottom line is 3 clean sheets so nobody is complaining and long may it continue !

5 mins of Louis time !

Mata making a difference for them, Grrrr....

Great stream Saintsplayer, amazed that others don't use it, no adverts etc...
-
They'd probably play him on the right wing
-
I've just dropped him from my fantasy league team for the first time this season so you might as well stick a few quid on him now
