  1. Holy sh*t.
  2. Really? I think he's having the time of his life. His career has never seen heights like this season.
  3. There is no way Cortese would allow himself to have such a negative impact on things. If he is away, then he'll still be overseeing deals over the phone/online.
  4. As fantastic a job as he has done, we need to remember that Adkins is still young and inexperienced in management when compared to a lot of others. As the players have improved, so will he.
  5. Well if we don't then we know for certain some thing's gone horribly wrong, Adkins said we'd have one or two in by the City game.
  6. Me neither, I was just going to leave it in case of a "woosh" moment. Anyway, I'm going to go for a 2-1 win for us.
  7. New Mexico? I think he'll play a big part in all honesty. Barry will drop out of favour now and will probably go out on loan in january when he hasn't played at all.
  8. That would be a cracking signing, but in all honesty I thought there'd be interest from bigger clubs.
  9. And so the season hasn't even started and people are turning on Adkins, amazing. Absolute garbage, are they? Tell that to Man City who won the league playing it. Don't be absurd.
  10. Ouch!
  11. Skates or not, Ben Haim is way past it (and wasn't THAT great when he wasn't) and Kitson just isn't any better than at least 4 of our current strikers.
  12. So to sum it up for Arsenal away, first priority is those who have been to Man City and both home games (whether ST holder or not) then season ticket holders in general, then non-season ticket holders who have done both home games, then general sale. Don't think it'll even get past season ticket holders personally.
  13. On loan? Not sure what the benefit is. Signing him permanently? I'd be very excited to see how Adkins and Crosby can get the best out of him. There is a great talent in there somewhere. Don't forget he's been playing under Redknapp for 3-4 years, and he's got a pretty poor record when it comes to youth. EDIT; let's be honest, Redknapps record with youth is appalling. Never forget the way Mills slated him after leaving for Man City, saying he never felt "part of the group". Big difference to the four that have recently been brought into the first team squad.
  14. On the contrary, I'd imagine agents overseeing free transfers would request more as they know the club isn't shelling out a transfer fee.
  15. *of a newspaper, yeah. Can't remember exactly when but it must be either near the start or near the end, as they're in the cab for the rest of it.
  16. I was talking to Steve, if it's happened to more than one person chances are it's a problem at the receiving end.
  17. In a scene on the tube in Collateral there's a picture of David Prutton in a Saints shirt on the back page.
  18. Looks like it might be worth setting up a different paypal account for Saintsweb if this is a recurring problem?
  19. He said we would have at least one or two in by the Man City game.
  20. Can't see any way to distinguish between normal news articles and links to Saintsplayer interviews, which is quite annoying.
  21. Apologies, been a hell of a day...
  22. As somebody who works in retail, I can tell you the customer is hardly ever right.
  23. http://www.whatthehellhavethelibdemsdone.com/ I believe something like 75% of there election manifesto has actually come to fruition.
  24. I don't have much of an opinion either way considering I don't have kids, I was just pointing out the difference with regards to responsibility. When it comes down to it I probably wouldn't punish my kids with violence as I've always had a sort of mental block when it came to raising my hands to anybody, but I also believe there are some children who simply do not respond to the suggested tactics - removal of privileges, locking in rooms, taking away toys etc. I remember seeing a post on here somewhere condemning the use of violence but then suggesting the use of "washing the mouth out with soap" when they swear or say something naughty. Personally that seems a lot more cruel in a pre-meditated kind of way than a light smack on the arse.
  25. Because they're adults. Anyone under the age of 16 is a child and is the parents responsibility. There is a clear difference.
