  1. Article on RedBall here https://www.sportbusiness.com/news/redball-acquisition-corp-surpasses-ipo-goal/
  2. Interesting that we were named in the article.
  3. Scott's a great guy. Definitely one of the nicest blokes you'll ever met, and also the tallest. Really pleased for him. He's been at Birmingham a while after previously being at Reading. Before that he was running a kids GK coaching school down here with Daryl Flahavan which is where I know him from.
  4. It had nothing to do with your response to Hockey Saint. I was just interested in your opinion seeing as you seem to be the main defender of Boris and his shambles of a government. Private Eye has always held the Government to account on their award of peerages. No different this year, although of course Boris is on record as wanting to reduce the number of people in the Lord's but then went and stuck a load of his mates in there.
  5. Here's the article about Boris's amazing list of peers including a family member and loads of his mates. Wonder what Wes has to say about this? https://www.private-eye.co.uk/hp-sauce
  6. We didn't nearly sign Jiminez. The article makes it clear we'd tracked him but had no real chance of getting the player due to his agent. Maddison was close and would have been an amazing signing but we couldn't compete with Leicester offering him more money and European football.
  7. Hopefully this tour will see him do 10 minutes on the issue of fishing rights in UK waters.
  8. It was supposed to be October but has been put back. Can't remember when to. I saw him in Pompey years ago. Half the crowd didn't know whether to be offended or laugh. It was so funny I was crying.
  9. That's exactly what we need. Takes 5 minutes to knock out a few short paragraphs. I have at least a passing interest in every player that's made an appearance for the club, even if it was 10 minutes as sub in a League cup match.
  10. Did anyone get the fans survey by email the other day? In one of the free comment boxes I mentioned the fact that some of the info on the website is outdated. There's no real excuse for them not to mention every player movement in and out and keep the profiles up to date.

It's working well today, so much so that it's nearly Johnno Quick.
  12. I'm not going to believe any of this until Turkish confirms it.
  13. Streams seem very easy to find these days. They had a bit of a clamp down a while back but I never have a problem getting a decent one now.
  14. Bit crap that a decent away day that hardly anyone will be able to go to is up first.
  15. Doug Stanhope is playing the Guildhall next year for anyone else who likes to laugh, wince and possibly be appalled all at the same time.
  16. Not sure I'd count Corden as a comedian. He's more a comedy actor/presenter because he doesn't do actual stand up. Kumar's hit and miss but I wouldn't pay to watch him live.
  17. Oh look. The company that were working with Ofqual on the exam results is run by mates of Gove and Cummings. What a surprise. https://www.theguardian.com/education/2020/aug/20/firm-linked-to-gove-and-cummings-hired-to-work-with-ofqual-on-a-levels
  18. Don't talk sense Winner. We can't have that sort of thing here. My partner is a teacher. She's in a special school now so has less of the admin type stuff that she used to have. Back then she'd work an 8 to 9 hour day then at least 2 hours most evenings and often a few hours at weekends too. My son in Year 10 often gets updates on his homework app at weekends or evenings which just shows the hours that some teachers are putting in. It's weird that there's a lot of negativity in this country towards teachers and that some people see them as lazy. I don't believe it's like that around the world. You're obviously going to get a minority who fit into that category but that's the same in most professions.
  19. Finally some great news!
  20. So happy it this happens. He's up there with the best LB's in the league.
  21. Surprised people are tipping Arsenal for the top 4. Just can't see that happening at all. Chelsea should be much stronger. Maybe push Man City for second. Liverpool should win it again. Man Utd 4th. Champions: Liverpool Champions League: Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd Europa: Arsenal, Wolves, Saints Relegation: Fulham, WBA, Villa First sacking: Hodgson Leading scorer: Aguero

Goes from lightning fast to unusable all within the same few minutes. Getting a bit fed up with it now.
  23. Fair play to Royston Smith on this one.
  24. There are some teams in the bottom step of men's football who play at a local park, and in those cases they can't stop people attending. I can watch Folland from the pavement, but I can't pay to go into the ground and stand behind the goal which is about 3 metres from the pavement. Bizarre. The example on the tweet below isn't Folland but it's not far off.
  25. Group A please
