People decking their garden out like a festival and sitting it watching old Glastonbury highlights on TV. I've seen photos of people who have made special lanyards, or built mini pyramid stages and put their TV inside them. There would definitely be cross over between these people and those who wear half and half scarves in a Venn diagram.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

What the fuck is he doing here? -
There's been mass gatherings for weeks now which haven't been broken up. Whether that's right or wrong is a matter of opinion. Looking at local press this seems to have been attended by a small number of people, I'm sure the police were aware of the expected numbers beforehand. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sunderlandecho.com/news/people/black-lives-matter-vigil-keel-square-passes-peacefully-2895570%3famp There needs to be consistency though, so if there was or is an event arranged by other protest groups which the police have turned everyone away from it wouldn't be fair.

Better in the second half after we replaced 2 bystanders with 2 footballers but still didn't create much against an average team. All round quite disappointing.

Pretty sure we won't be accepting part exchange if they are offering a player Ralph doesn't want. Very unlikely we'd be giving the bloke a new 4 year contract and then a few weeks later lumbering him with someone he won't play.

Not often I say this but I really want Spurs to win tonight.

Hate Crime is any offence towards a protected characteristic which is perceived to be motivated by prejudice or hostility. There is no legal definition of hostility so this could cover prejudice, contempt, antagonism etc. It can include verbal abuse, harassment, intimidation etc. Whether any prosecution will be brought under this or not is unclear.

Anyone here involved in the spit test that's being trialled? http://www.southampton.gov.uk/coronavirus-covid19/testing.aspx

What We Do In The Shadows series 2 was brilliant. One of my goals at work this year is to be more like Colin Robinson.

Why would Ings need resting? He hasn't played for months, I'm sure he can manage 3 games in a week.

If we can go to the games then there's nothing I want more than the chance to visit some random European towns or cities. Should it be impossible for us to attend games then I'm not quite so excited about the prospect but would still welcome it. Anyone who doesn't want it probably didn't go to Milan, Prague, Bucharest etc etc because they were great trips (despite the results!)

Terrible weekend for Bournemouth and West Ham if Villa get something from this game.

Any crowd calculations would have to take household groups into consideration. They take up much less room because 3 or 4 people sat together means no seats need to be missed out. I've seen other countries slowly introduce spectators back to their games. Obviously these are ones with much lower infection rates but by the time the new season starts ours could be at a point where crowds at games is manageable.

Easy win and a good confidence boost for the next game against a very beatable Arsenal.

Are the Government letting this drag on to distract everyone from the fact we've hit the top of the "deaths per million people" league table?
-
You shouldn't have owned them in the first place because they are a terrible band.
-
They'd get more click bait out of "player from top 6 club eats sandwich" than a story about a boring lower mid table Premier League club having to possibly sell a few slightly above average players.
-
Can we get £100 million for him?
-
Club denying it via the Adam Blackmore tweet. 0% chance any of those English players being sold this summer is a bold statement.

Who knows what substance there is behind the article but the thing that intrigues me if other clubs are in trouble is that they picked us to mention. And not only mention but splash it on the back page of a national paper. More interesting times for us, especially after the last set of accounts looked so poor.

Yes, it's the Star but the face they have lead with this story on their sports page tomorrow is interesting. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/southampton-face-major-exodus-star-22075625 Here's the back page of the paper.

When people like Tory loving Julia Hartley-Brewer are incandescent with rage about it you know you've lost the room.

That Scottish MP had to resign after going to her second home about 50 miles away, yet the Government are supporting someone who twice drove to the other end of the country when the advice was to stay at home. Not sacking him now will harm the Government. It's not just supporters of opposition parties who are up in arms, it seems as if it's the majority of the public. Will be interesting to see what the Tory supporting papers have as headlines tomorrow.

They are, but they aren't paid to be role models. That seems to be some weird expectation from the media. Musicians or actors don't get put on a pedestal as role models and lots of people, including young kids, look up to them.

The difference here is that footballers aren't heavily involved in setting the guidelines they then went on to break.
