Weird game which could have been any score. Great save by Gunn at the end from Wilson to secure a point. Thought Valery had a storming game and Ward Prowse was everywhere. Really looking forward to next season, reckon we will be in for a lot of exciting games.

That's Alfie Jones isn't it? Vokins is much smaller.

Crikey. As a season ticket holder for many years I had no idea match tickets were that much.
-
Looks like we're struggling to shift tickets. Thought this would be a nailed on sell out.

You have to be pretty damn good at football to hold down a place in a premier league team. No doubt Stephens is a decent player, he's just not good enough for the top flight and there's absolutely no shame in that. People saying he's "gash" are going over the top. I bet they wish they had even 10% of his ability.

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Mansfield. They have a decent team and are having an interesting 3 way battle for the 2 remaining promotion spots with Bury and MK Dons who they play away in the last game of the season. Mellis had a good game and scored the opener. They ran out comfortable 4-0 winners against a poor Morecambe side who brought 107 away fans. Chatted with some Mansfield fans who were all very pleasant. One even thanked me for coming. At a time when many Premier League fans are annoyed about tourists in the ground it's good to see that lower league supporters appreciate neutrals coming to watch their team.

Yeah. I thought he was alright at the time. Only played 12 games for us. He was sacked by Chelsea for letting off a smoke bomb at their training ground, hahaha.
-
Anyone remember Jacob Mellis? I'm watching him play for Mansfield tomorrow.

Brighton only 2 league wins in 2019, one of which was a nervy 1 goal home victory against Huddersfield. They are on an awful run of form. I really don't want them to go down because it's a decent and easy away trip but they are sure as hell giving it a good go.

Looked at a few of those but want to tick another of the 92 off. Lucky Harrogate are away because I don't want to get mixed up with the Chaos Crew after hearing about them chasing Steve Grant and the Sutton lads around this season.

Driving up on Friday, stopping off on the way to do a new ground. Choices are: Mansfield v Morecambe Burton v Pompey S****horpe v Blackpool Mansfield currently first choice. Not sure I want to be in the same stadium as the Pompey fans, especially if they win although it would be hilarious if they dropped points. S****horpe would be alright but the ground is on the edge of town and it seems like an utter dump if I fancy a few beers after.

Ralph's right. All the groaning yesterday was ridiculous. If the player isn't comfortable making a forward pass because there's no one to pick out then of course they will go sideways or back. At one point Vestergard was about to pass back, people groaned, he then hesitated and lost the ball putting them in a good position. It wasn't like we were playing a terrible team that we could pass through the middle of when we felt like it. At best a player has a couple of seconds to make a pass, if they don't do it then go back, settle and restart the move. Let the players get on with it.

He had a very good game I thought. Other than a stupid, blatant dive just after he came on he was industrious, held the ball up well, caused panic in their defence and grabbed a goal. He also annoyed the Wolves fans which was funny. Couldn't really have asked for any more from him today. Whether that translates into similar performances going forward who knows.
-
He was a total liability in defence but that's what you get when you are chasing the game with an attacking player at wing back. Wolves were good on the ball but created very little. Gunn barely had a shot to save. For all their possession they did little in the final third and were clueless at the back. I'm presuming Sims was played to press and run at Boly who doesn't have the best touch. Worked a dream as he set up the first and was involved in the second. Read the match thread while I was walking back over the Itchen Bridge. Some proper weird comments. Pretty sure half the people on there either don't understand football or are just trolling. Or both.

Seems like he'll miss some of pre season so won't be properly match fit for ages still. They talked about him on the last podcast.

Season ticket renewals - announced 10 April
The Cat replied to whiteleySaint30's topic in The Saints
Yeah, that's bad. I looked at that straight away too. I guess it's great that U11's in family stand are cheaper but adult and U18 are still the same price as last season. No arrangement fee for payment plan is good though. -
A couple of blokes got kicked out the family stand after they equalised. Not all tickets are passed on by Saints fans though. All you needed was a customer number to get a ticket and there must be loads of plastic big club fans with those who have been buying tickets over the years. Only way to stop it is to kick them out then delete their accounts.

Romello Mitchell he's one of our own.

Wolves being so low is a bit of a shock to me. Thought Mendes would be coining it in from them.
-
Sounds like a poor result, although to put it in a bit of context Sholing beat Bournemouth U23's in the quarter final and they are 2 leagues below Basingstoke.
-
Evening Star near the station is pretty good. It's Darkstar brewery so loads of decent ale if that's your thing.
-
Way to **** all over Brighton fans celebrations by making the semi draw straight away and giving them Man City. Haha.

My mate saw him in a cafe there last weekend as well. Said he "should" be fit for the Brighton game.
