  1. Enough about the football, did everyone enjoy the half time entertainment? That car with all the mascots in was funny. Seems like the relay has been ditched in favour of fans booting balls towards a goal.
  2. Averages out about 1 a game. Sometimes it's none, rarely more than 3 unless it's kicked off in the stand for some reason. Mostly people are ejected rather than nicked. Arrest figures would also include those outside the stadium.
  3. We've had some good exposure through Virgin featuring on a number of their adverts. How much extra money would a betting company give us? Probably far less than we've wasted on pointless transfers the past couple of seasons.
  4. Almost as ridiculously stupid as the fans that used to give him abuse on a regular basis while he was here. It's almost like a lot of supporters are a bit thick.
  5. It's been going a while. One of those that's heard more at away games but doesn't catch on at home so much because it has too many words and the lads that sing it are split between Northam and Itchen.
  6. Cracking 2nd goal from England Women last night. Probably better than anything scored in the Premier League this week. The point about the crowd doesn't really make sense. It's a new competition and neither team were playing at home. The media still report heavily on test match cricket when there's hardly anyone watching. The South Africa v Sri Lanka series was amazing but there was barely anyone in the stadium. I know half the comments on here are in jest but there's some really weird negativity towards the women's game.

    Attendance

Fulham only bringing about 87 didn't help. Some of the empty seats in the Family stand were probably due to the extra checks on adults trying to get in with kids season tickets. I saw one bloke get pulled up for it outside and there were loads more stewards inside looking to see which colour lights flashed on the turnstiles when people walked through.
  8. We're advertising for another mascot, time to step this up and have a whole extended family of dogs doing some sort of crufts style assault course.
  9. 20000 Arsenal fans, 3000 away fans, 30000 tourists.
  10. Benitez didn't get sacked and took Newcastle back up. I think it would be great in the Championship with Ralph. It's a far more entertaining league and it would be interesting to see him build a team of players that suit his style.
  11. I know a goalkeeper coach who has worked in academies. He said "Gunn will be one of the best keepers in the Premier League if Watson doesn't ruin him."
  12. People lob their cars up on the grass banks either side of Marine Parade and seem to get away with it. Must be a right pain trying to get out afterwards because everyone walks in the road to get back to Ocean Village or Woolston. There's also the car park off Elm Terrace which is about 5 mins walk to the ground but I'd imagine it gets filled up pretty early.
  13. She lives in Hamble as well so you'd have thought she'd be all over trying to sort out the issues that affect her on a day to day basis. Sadly she seems utterly useless.
  14. Don't worry, everything will be fine once the Head of International Commercial Development (Asia) and Head of International Sports Business Development (Asia) that we're currently advertising for are employed. All those tie ins with Indonesian tyre companies and extra shirt sales in Vietnam will take us to the next level. Exciting times
  15. Ridiculous to let that goal in at the end. We'd snatched what could have been a crucial point. Just keep possession and see the game out. Cardiff basically did what Palace did but the difference today was that they did it from the start of the game. It's the obvious tactics to use against us at St Mary's because we don't have enough creativity to break teams down and will always let a goal in because there's normally a point where we switch off at the back.
  16. Both goalkeepers today had awful distribution. The requirements of that position have moved on to the point that there's no place in the Premier League these days for keepers who can't kick.
  17. Yeah. 113 to 13.
  18. Just read that Man City have scored 100 goals more than Huddersfield this season.
  19. QPR score
  20. Of course it would have been completely out of the question that we'd have equalised if we went 1-0 down against a team that are right next to us in the table. A bit like when we failed to equalise against Crystal Palace on Wednesday. Or when we failed to equalise against Burnley away last season when, at the time, they were a far better team than us. Bit of course, totally unimaginable.
  21. You don't remember it that well because it was against Everton, not Aston Villa.
  22. Some of our fans were muppets tonight. People booed at half time FFS. Clearly it wasn't great but it's not like we were going in 3-0 down and out of the game. Palace were very organised and hard to break down but we kept plugging away and finally for once got in behind them and managed to score. Thought Armstrong did well when he came on because by then there was very little room for our players to play in, so deep were Palace sitting. He was very positive and suddenly they were worried about conceding. The goal was very well worked. Nice finish too. Zaha then made us all laugh with his unnecessary petulance. Walking halfway across the pitch before turning around to clap the ref again may get him an extra game ban, and we know how they struggle without him. Very happy with the point after being behind until the last 15 minutes. We'll obviously get enough points to stay up which is the main objective. If we get in a few players that Ralph wants in the summer we'll be in a much stronger position in 12 months.
  23. We beat Leicester away with Shane Long up front and only 10 players for 45 minutes including no right back on the pitch. What's the problem?
  24. People not rating Zaha is another low point in this forum's history. It will never happen but I'd love it if he played for us.
  25. Yes Chez, that Derby game is definitely one of my favourites even though we ended up losing and getting soaked through to our pants on the walk back to the car. Remember feeling the stand shake when Rasiak scored the equaliser. An amazing rollercoaster of a match that's for sure.
