  1. Are the only options either go back up or do a Sunderland because the likelihood would be somewhere in between. I'd hazard a guess that we'd be like Ipswich and bumble around mid table.
  2. Keep safe? I best leave the kids at home because this is going to be all out carnage, a throwback to the late 1970's.
  3. https://amp.theguardian.com/football/who-scored-blog/2018/mar/28/southampton-premier-league-mark-hughes-west-ham?CMP=share_btn_tw&__twitter_impression=true
  4. Constantly? I've never seen any, but then I don't visit the website other than to buy away tickets and am not on Facebook. A quick trawl through their twitter timeline reveals one post about women's football in the last week. Sorry, I must have been offline for a second that day and missed it. Silly me.
  5. I don't think the Southampton youth girls teams that have been running are affiliated to the club. Could be wrong but that's the impression I got from a bloke I know who manages a girls team.
  6. I'm all for it. Doesn't impact on anything the first team or academy do. Also gives the local girls that play football the chance to aim for playing for a club they support. Some people on here sound like the blokes at a men's only golf club who think women should only be allowed in to serve drinks and bend over to pick up things they've dropped so they can say stuff like "while you're down there love."
  7. Some proper weird comments on this thread. He's clearly a very good player.
  8. Just turn up and get one off a tout. There will be thousands available on the day and the nearer you wait until kick off the cheaper they will get.
  9. Cup because it gets me out of having to go to my boring sister's 40th birthday party which is on the day of the final.
  10. Not sure whether to bother now. Roads in Huddersfield aren't great and my mate who has our tickets isn't leaving London.
  11. We're staying in Huddersfield tonight. Main roads look ok but anything else is a bit of a lottery. Our hotel is on a hill which isn't giving me an awful lot of confidence for getting out of the car park tomorrow...
  12. Palace far better than Huddersfield. Thoroughly deserved their win.
  13. Anyone who finishes below Huddersfield can't argue with relegation. They are absolutely awful.
  14. I'm about to go to Huddersfield vs Palace. There's loads of good pubs in Huddersfield. If we go down I hope they do too.
  15. I saw some scuffles on the bridge going over the canal. Ended up petering out when some Saints fans helped a local woman who wasn't at the match cross the bridge with her kids.
  16. Saw it on twitter earlier. What a loon.
  17. I love it when batman has a go at other fans for having held an opinion that eventually turns out to be wrong. The sheer irony of it makes me chuckle every time.
  18. How should I know? Maybe he wanted to come to the Premier League and was advised to use us as a stepping stone to play for a bigger club like others have done. He's clearly a quality player, I struggle to work out how anyone could think otherwise. Silly me for assuming that someone who's played in the Champions League is good enough to play in the Champions League.
  19. He's played in the Champions League final for one of the biggest clubs in the world, so in that respect he already is.
  20. I watch a fair amount of non league football and go to Sholing quite a lot, but I'd never say I support them as such. Certainly don't get the same rush of excitement when they score. Swapping to support another professional club is a question that doesn't even need asking.
  21. A family near us brought a blanket to put over their legs on Saturday. A month or so ago there were people pretty much having a picnic in our row. Tupperware, snacks, chicken wings they'd cooked at home FFS. What the hell has happened?
  22. Maybe they created a new position in the club and maybe Fonte told them how good Hugo was and maybe they offered him a cack load of money.
  23. He's done a great job and should be our number 1 for as long as he's at the club. If we stay up I can't see any reason to replace him. Also seems like a really level headed chap who is dedicated to doing the best he can. Never see him blaming others or moaning about anything.
  24. For me it's not what division we are in but the fact we're owned by people who's intentions seem somewhat dubious. Are we a vehicle for money laundering or some other questionable financial gain? This is a chap who would fail any tests if he wanted to buy the club now. It just doesn't sit easily with me at all. I'd rather give my money and support to Sholing than towards paying off some random foreign owners loans.
  25. Snow already melting in Southampton so can't see any problems at all in regards local travel today.
