  1. I think the last time we played Eastleigh was when Tommy Forecast inexplicably let in 3 goals in the first 15 minutes. We've only ever really sent reserve players and kids in recent times.
  2. They sell old copies of some in the club shop. Could be worth giving them a call.
  3. Looks great in the flesh. Was in town earlier so wandered past the Saints shop in West Quay and they have them on display in the window.
  4. To get the kids interested. They already know the kit will appeal to adults, the video is marketing it to the younger generation who don't remember or know what it's based on. It's pretty simple really.
  5. Exactly that. Some of our fans are so precious, saw one bloke on Twitter saying our dignity has gone.
  6. The abuse was during the game, booing his subs, chanting against him. Whether there were people ragging off as he left the pitch I don't know. I feel a bit sorry for him. Has always acted with dignity and class, unlike a large group of our fans. Whatever anyone says he helped provide memories that will stay with me forever, including probably the best goal celebration of all time. Thanks Claude and good luck.
  7. Top of the league after the first 5 matches
  8. The most important thing for Labour now is to harness the youth vote and build upon it over the next few years. The result in Canterbury has shown what's possible when they target the student vote and if they carry on doing it (and there's no reason why they won't) the electoral map will look a hell of a lot different in the years to come. It's about time the younger people got out in force to vote because let's face it they'll be around for a lot longer than most of us old gits which makes it more important to them. With the increasing shift away from mainstream dead tree media to online news and those who get their fix through social channels it's definitely the way forward for mobilising voters. Just look a the effect JME, Novelist, Akala and the rest of the grime scene had in getting people out to vote. It was massive, and may well have had more of an influence than the ridiculous front pages from the floundering right wing press who were desperately trying to protect their selfish interests.
  9. This is like one of the old threads about Mane when people were saying he was useless. I know it's all hindsight but there's some absolute classics in here.
  10. Fair play to Labour for pulling out a decent result in the face of an unrelenting, disgusting mainstrem media campaign led by the Sun, Mail et al. Also well done to the youth for finally getting out and making their vote count. Royston Smith is a jammy bastard.
  11. Or was it whoever runs his Twitter account for him?

  13. Klopp will be going nuts. Oh to be a fly on the wall in their next transfer meeting.
  14. Their forum is funny. Plenty of goons saying he's not even that good which is strange he because those of us who have watched him closely know he's probably too good for them. He'll still leave, but this has really made me chuckle.

    Puel out

Rodriguez put in a decent 45 minutes against Bournemouth and played ok against an already relegated team. Other than that he was massively off the pace, even when I saw him play for the U23's he was dreadful. There's a few decisions Puel has made which I have issues with but not playing Rodriguez isn't one of them. I felt sorry for Claise who did put in a few genuinely good performances only to find himself left out. Hojbjerg I really like and should have been played more alongside Romeu.
  17. Nice bloke, terrible footballer. Other than the goal my main memories of him are miscontrolling balls when in 40 yards of space leading to him having to pass it back to the keeper.

    Puel out

Every club has to be on a minimum number of times. TV only release the first 2 months of matches once the fixtures have been announced and then work at scheduling the next batch once the season starts so most of the season will depend on later events, not what we have done in the last 2 months. Also with Brighton being promoted, and possibly Reading they will have a couple more obvious games to pick under the guise of local derby matches (let's not start that debate again!)
  19. People saying that those who didn't feel the need to boo would have sat there in silence during the Branfoot era are pretty wide of the mark. That's a completely different scenario to the one we currently have. There's a time for venting anger and in my opinion it's not when we are having what could be described at worst as an average season. Branfoot was taking us down with horrific football, Lowe was ruining the club. Both valid reasons for frustration and booing. I just don't see this situation as one that particularly warrants the abuse Puel got yesterday.
  20. If it was under Cortese it would be at 2300 to annoy the Echo. I'll go for Tuesday morning, 9am.
  21. I liked the fact they played Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden at half time in tribute to Chris Cornell. Nice touch.
  22. You buy a ticket to get into the ground. If you want gauranteed entertainment you're spending your money on the wrong thing.
  23. I've said before that I don't agree with how Puel has treated some players but that's not going to make me boo him, or any players. We scored 2 goals the game before last, do they not count? Yes the home record isn't great but we have still had a reasonably decent season, definitely not bad enough for poeple to be reacting the way they do.
  24. Yes I have a season ticket, have had one for years. Go to plenty of aways, did Milan and Prague, Vitesse and Denmark last season. Maybe I'm objective about it because I've seen it all before. We've been a hell of a lot worse than this before. What irritates me is that we aren't that bad yet people are whining like we're down the bottom of the league.
