Wahhh, I'm not getting what I want, wahhh the nasty man won't play 2 up front. How is it Sunderland fans didn't boo or chant for Moyes to get sacked until right at the end of the season? They still turned up in their droves, sold out away ends up and down the country all season yet we don't play 2 strikers and our fans start whining little kids.

It's manifested over the past few years. For some reason people just can't handle an average season. Yes the football hasn't always been that exciting but nor is it at a lot of clubs. I've said it before but it's the people that only go to home games who seem to have been the most vocal about not getting their money's worth. Well, I don't remember any guarantees that come with a season ticket stating we will score a certain number of goals or win a certain number of games. You buy a ticket because you support the team, although judging by the crap that falls out of a lot fans mouths you wouldn't think they do actually support us at all.

For some reason it took them ages to work out that chipping it to the back post so he's up against Cedric in the air would work. Reminded me of the way we used to score with Lambert piling in at the back post for a header on goal or back across the area for someone else to score.

Second game in a row their keeper pulls of some good saves and we squander decent chances to score. A lot of out fans are massive helmets. Booing subs, getting on players' backs. I hope Puel stays just so none of those ****s renew. In fact I'd like to believe bringing Pied on right wing was Claude trolling the jumped up, spoilt *****s who are crying because we dared to have an average season. I'd happily just do away games, and it's nothing to do with the football at St Mary's and everything to do with the ****ty atmosphere in a stadium where a third of the support are utter clowns.

This, completely and utterly was the best moment of the season and of many seasons before. Truly unforgettable. What a night.

Good performance. Really enjoyed the game as a whole but the best thing about it is only one more match before we can move our seats and get away from the moaning, negative **** that sits behind us. Thought Stephens was outstanding again. I'm really excited to see him develop further over the next few seasons and the way he's been playing I'd happily have him starting regularly going forward. -

He definitely deserves something. -
People keep banging on about the home form but as far as I'm aware away games count for the same number of points. Doesn't really matter where we pick them up does it? A lot of this looks like people crying because we haven't played well when they've been watching.

Exactly. In a few years time no one will remember 0-0 against Hull but we'll still be getting goosebumps from the 90th minute at Anfield. In the link I posted the commentators use phrases like "historic" and "vital moment in the history of this football club."

People can moan and whine as much as they want about this season, they can blabber on about Puel and his apparently negative tactics all they want. Personally when it's all over I will be thinking of trips to Milan, Wembley and beating Inter at home. But mainly, for me, this season will be remembered for one moment. The best moment I've probably ever experienced supporting Saints. This happened because of Puel, not Koeman or Pochettino, Mane, Pelle or Wanyama. It happened at Anfield on a Wednesday night and will never, ever be forgotten. https://youtu.be/HVb3NfTf7P8

I think we may regret letting him go if we do. My friend regularly watches Blackburn and has been full of praise for how he's performed considering "we spend most of the time passing it sideways before hoofing it in his general direction." The problem for players like him is that they get to an age where they need to be playing at least 20 games a season, and if they stay with their parent club that may not happen. Would he be happy sat on the bench for most games and getting the odd 10 minutes as sub plus a few cup appearances? I'd like to see us offer a new contact and then maybe another loan to a Championship club so he can get another full season of playing time. By then he may well be good enough to be a more regular starter for us.

If you live Southampton way I have a couple spare you can have for cut price.
-
Haha. To be honest the game was probably going to be the secondary attraction to visiting friends up that way and having a couple of nights out.
-
I was going to drive up tomorrow, come back Sunday but unfortunately I'm ill. Got 2 tickets if anyone wants them for half price.
-
I think we'll lose to Arsenal but beat Man Utd. Presuming Boro lose to Chelsea midweek that might end up being tricky in the way Sunderland was for Hull but we should get a point at least. Stoke will be an exhibition game played out to avoid any serious injuries before the summer. Going for a score draw. So 5 more points and probably 9th.

To be fair when we did play West Brom last month pretty much everyone praised the difference between our neat, tidy passing game in comparison to their ugly tactics of slamming long balls into the corners. Granted we've had some horribly disappointing performances this season but it's certainly not as bad as some people make out.
-
You are right apart from the fact you are wrong. West Ham fans have been laying into Fonte ever since he signed saying how **** he is. One win doesn't change that.
-
**** off. Just **** off. Anyway we won the Premier League cup which is not the league but a cup. Gallagher scored the winner against Blackburn when we were down to 10 men but you knew all that and was just being a massive **** as normal.
-
Because no clubs in the history of football have ever followed a successful season with a slightly less successful season. Nope, not one.

The top 3 in the laughing stock league is currently: Sunderland (awful squad, manager and setup) West Ham (scummy owners, overpaid players, raided by HMRC) Arsenal (Wenger contract, pathetic fans, their fan TV channel) No one thinks any other PL teams are in the slightest bit amusing.
