  1. He got kicked when a defender made a clearance, went down hurt, got up after a while, made a signal to the bench and then got subbed. I think there was some confusion about how injured he was and he wanted to stay on.
  2. We struggled with their movement and never really got into the game. Gave the ball away too cheaply at times and didn't get behind them enough. Still we did create a few decent chances and were still in the game until they scored the second.
  3. At least he's got the chance to wear it one day, most of our male support would struggle to get it over their moobs.
  4. I was talking about Tadic, but I agree with everything you said.
  5. I heard a snippet a while back that he would always be on others players backs in the dressing room and in training, encouraging them and pushing them to be better. He really does seem to care and wants the best for everyone. I got the feeling that some of the players may not have agreed with the way he went about it but knew that he meant well.
  6. I didn't, but maybe if it was the same woman who spent 90 minutes knitting at Carrow Road a few years ago?
  7. Good day out. I thoroughly recommend the Island Bar for a pre match drink. It's a curry house attached to a sports bar where they sell a pint for £2.20 and serve a cracking lamb bhuna. As for the game I thought we grew into it and once our midfield had got the measure of theirs, after about 20 minutes we looked far the better team. Massive credit to Claise and Hojbjerg for getting stuck in and not being bullied by their big lumps. I thought we gave them a bit of a lesson at time and despite the fact they are above them in the table I'd hate to watch the style of football they serve up every week. Just look at the way we try to play the ball out of defence and through midfield or down the flanks compared to their random wallops into the corner. A few players stood out but I was hugely impressed with Stephens. One poor pass aside he looked totally at ease with everything he did and it's so encouraging to see him calmly play the ball out time after time when many other players would just lump it up the park and consider it job done. As for Long, well we all know he can't finish but he put in a massive shift and defended from the front superbly. I couldn't keep up with the number of times he hassled their defenders into a hurried clearance or chased balls which others would have given up on. That work he does should not go unnoticed and was an integral part of the win. He also really annoyed their supporters which was amusing. When Gabbiadini is out I'd start him over Rodriguez any time. Redmond is looking better with every game, I like the fact he's now cutting inside much earlier rather than running straight up the wing, stopping and passing inside as used to. Forster will also be happy with that performance and has looked more assured in the last few games which is good to see. Yoshida deserves all the plaudits he gets after that game, he looked so solid and barely put a foot wrong. Most of all that was a great team performance. Yes we might have been pushed back for the last 10 minutes but that's inevitable when you are leading away from home. Plenty of better teams than us have struggled there this season so well done to every player for contributing to a good 3 points.
  8. Talking of penalty shouts why didn't we get one when Davis got clattered? He won the ball and got taken out although for reasons beyond my comprehension it seems that if a player shoots and then gets kicked it never seems to count as a foul whereas if you play a pass anywhere on the pitch and get caught it's a free kick.
  9. Not only is he gaining vital experience while not looking out of place, he's also getting the opportunity to form a CB partnership with Yoshida. I particularly like the fact Jack bagged an assist for Yoshida's goal last night.

    Puel out

Batman is a crap poster He largely struggles to post anything coherent 3 vaguely sensible posts out of every 12 He will do well to get past 40 this week Ban him at the end of the season please
  11. That pass he put through for Long in the second half was a moment of genius. He looks great when he gets his head up and picks players runs out and his weight of pass is exceptional. Sadly he spends 80% of the time playing like someone mashing buttons on FIFA trying to execute a ridiculous piece of skill in inappropriate situations.
  12. I'd have been gutted walking away from that if I supported them, they missed a golden chance to beat the team they hate the most. I certainly wouldn't have been celebrating a point like that.
  13. I quite enjoyed that game. Both teams should have had a couple of goals, a lot of the moaning comes from the fact they were stronger than us at the end of the match but then we had swathes of our team away for international duty whereas they didn't. We definitely struggle up front without a proper goalscorer. For all his running today Rodriguez looked as likely to score as someone sat in the crowd and Long isn't much more likely. Bournemouth seemed very happy with the point at the end despite missing a penalty and some other decent chances in the last 20 minutes. That bloke running on to take a selfie with Forster was something I've not seen before. Totally over the top for the steward to bundle him to the floor.
  14. I've got a few mates up there. Really like it as a city and they are massively passionate about their football.
  15. If the OS don't go with New Tella as a headline they're missing a trick.
  16. Bognor Regis, 2 teams in Worthing, New Milton, Whitehawk etc etc
  17. We struggled in the first half a bit but that was more down to then moving the ball quickly through the midfield than anything to do with CB's. I thought Stephens had a decent game.
  18. Thought we played pretty well overall. The Tadic sitter people are debating was offside in the build up wasn't it? Looked from my angle that the lino on the far side raised his flag for it. Romeu was excellent, Ward Prowse had a good game too. He's been getting stuck in to tackles a lot more recently and looks stronger. Davis grew into the game after a poor first half when he gave the ball away too cheaply. Stephens looks like he could be a very decent CB, it's great to see him getting games against top class players. These experiences can only help his development.
  19. That crappy penalty cost me £76.43. All the other matches on my accumulator of both teams to score came in. Grrr.
  20. I'd use the opening to Reign In Blood right up until just after Tom Araya lets out that blood curdling scream and then mix in your Pantera. That would get everyone going.
  21. Totally agree. The only good thing about our recent lack of home games has been not having to listen to that song. It completely kills any atmosphere that might be building when the teams come onto the pitch. The Saints Are Coming is a perfect build up tune as they come out the tunnel. After that, let the fans take over. As an aside I don't know why our fans don't sing The Saints Are Coming. Just need to change the middle lines.
  22. Looks like you forgot to switch logins there. Well done.
  23. Hassan Valery Caceres Jones McQueen Reed Sims Hojbjerg Boufal Rodriguez Hesketh Strong line up
  24. He dealt pretty well with a few testing crosses that he palmed away from danger. I don't think their second goal would have gone in if Stephens hadn't slipped. Not his fault, just unfortunate.
  25. He clears them with his right foot, he clears them with his head And when we sell him to Liverpool, Batman will s.hit the bed
