All those Stoke fans celebrating after their 10 men held us to a draw will be feeling a bit sick today.
-
Puel so far, not a good fit for saints? or the man to take us forward?
The Cat replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
We missed a trick by not sacking him and poaching Martin Allen before he went to Eastleigh. If only our players were taking a dip in the Solent for training we'd be through to the knockout stages of the Europa League. -
He's on a wind up, I just bought 3 tickets.
-
The bookies don't share your fears, our odds are shorter than Stoke's for the win.
-
Brilliant. Well played lads.

Batman would be busy typing out a summary of the Queen's Speech for those who were unable to watch it while simultaneously cooking the Christmas dinner.

Decent second half. The players seemed more up for it as soon as the whistle blew and we began to press rather than sit off them. Cracking goal from Boufal. Once that went in there was only one winner as Boro created nothing of note in the second half. Rodriguez's general play looked sharper but the poor chap still can't finish from 2 yards which is even more frustrating when you have Boufal 2-0 as a bet.

I heard a Boro fan on the radio yesterday saying how they spend most of the time passing sideways and backwards. If true this has all the makings of an utterly riveting match.

Can we have the old crappy tannoy back please.

Europa League Verdict (How was it for you love?)
The Cat replied to Golac's Iron Gonads's topic in The Saints
I loved the away trips but not the results. The football we played was somewhat mixed and it all finished with a hugely frustrating last 2 games. -
Anyone know what's up with Boufal?
-
They are around 15/2 for the win, or a draw is 3/1 if anyone fancies a flutter. They are hammering teams left, right and centre at the moment so will be full of confidence.

They are playing the interview on 5live shortly. -
I'll gladly have it if it's still available. Email me on rpmason76@gmail.com. I'll come and pick it up if you are local.

Sam McQueen signs new 4 and a half year deal
The Cat replied to Wimborne_saint's topic in The Saints
Excellent news. Well done to the lad for kicking on and putting in some brilliant performances. It can't have been easy being thrown in to the team in a different position to the one he spent most of his youth career in but he has adapted superbly and taken his chance. -
Palace fans don't seem too confident. Some are hoping we win. https://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=163871

Me too. Saw us win and won £45. The odds were wrong, as they were when I put £25 on Sparta last week.

People still clapping Chamberlain when he came on last night. He played for the first team for a short space of time then buggered off to a big club at the first opportunity. Get over it.
-
Someone give Fitzhugh a happy pill. Quality performance from the team last night. We controlled the game pretty much from start to finish and reduced them to tame shots from distance. Would have loved a 3rd goal in front of our fans, which would have been fully deserved, but it wasn't to be. Prague was a bit of a cluster**** and while last night hasn't made up for it, at least we can sense the team are on the right track again. Full credit to Puel and the rest of the management team for getting the players up for the game against Everton and last night in a short space of time. Semi finals are exciting. We don't get to many so let's enjoy it and ruin their apparently nailed on final with Man Utd.
-
There were moments where you could sense the frustration of his teammates. He got more than a few looks which were probably along the lines of "what the **** are you doing you clueless ****" I thought his performance in Denmark would be hard to beat for ineptitude but he ran it pretty close last week.
-
Cedric's so much better than Martina that it's achingly obvious but then I'd have a blind 3 legged dog at RB over Cuco if rules allowed.
-
I'd give Sims another go. The lad must be brimming with confidence. With Rodriguez it's like starting with half a player on the pitch and I'm not prepared to sacrifice that in a 1/4 final just to give him some game time.
