There was a programme, I saw people selling them outside the ground
-
Leicester weren't all that at home a couple of weeks ago and they still rely on those irritating clackers. Last season they were loud but then they were a few games from the title. Our away support is average for noise, decent for numbers although maybe a domestic drop off this season with the Europa games and yes, it's good that we all stand up.. Our songs have become stale. Nothing for Redmond, nothing for Claise, and after the run we're on still nothing for Puel. Christ it's not hard to get Claude Puel's red & white army on the go at the very least.

If anyone's on the 1840 out of Malpensa to Gatwick on Friday and has a space in the car for a lift back to Southampton I'd be most grateful. Will obviously contribute to petrol. Saves me having to run the gauntlet of Southern rail.

We're all in the middle tier, at least that's what I was told.

Saints have suspended people's accounts for flouting the rules, for example buying kids tickets for adults. People are always lending their season tickets or selling them on a game by game basis when they can't go. I would suggest the club aren't bothered by this unless someone causes trouble in the ground.

Game went to 98 mins. I was furiously refreshing the BBC Sport app because they were the last team I needed to win on my accumulator.

I went to Wimbledon away in about 93 and there was barely anyone there. We won 2-1. Matty scored and possibly Kevin Moore. We were quite high in the table for us (top half) but had a terrible run of form shortly after until the end of the season. Just checked, this website has the attendance at 4534 and it was Kevin Moore. http://www.11v11.com/matches/wimbledon-v-southampton-06-march-1993-21124/

A Romeu, Schneiderlin, Hojbjerg midfield 3 would be incredible. Probably won't happen though.

Long went off injured late in today's game according to BBC live text I was reading.

4114 minus the 199 Maidstone of which I was one. Eastleigh had some hilarious little kids up the back of the stand trying to give it large who would have all legged it back to Mummy's car if anything had happened outside. Boasting about a large attendance when it's free to get in is a bit much, check their poor away support to see how many proper fans they have. They would never take 200 to Maidstone for a midweek game, infact they'd be lucky to get more than 50.

The Checkatrade Trophy...a real incentive .or just a gimmick ?

I'd probably go just to take the kids for a day out -

Out of interest did anyone on here go, and how many fans did we have there last night? -
It's about time we started singing Claude Puel's red & white army. 6 clean sheets in a row, a solid start in the cups and our current league form should warrant some crowd support for him.

I watch some youth games at St Mary's and online. Always interested to see the next batch progress. I'd go to Staplewood for games too if they let us in. Not particularly interested in tonight's game although obviously I'll be wanting the youngsters to play well -
When I bought my Prague ticket yesterday I noticed the availability for Inter was marked as 'nearly sold out' or something similar. Not sure how many more we'll sell now as pretty much anyone who wants to go would have surely booked already..

He's been superb. That triple block yesterday reminded me of Niemi against Arsenal. I loved the way Romeu celebrated it too. You can tell he's a genuinely decent bloke as well, and very fit judging by all the work he's got through lately.

Cook's not blaming the wind, but the first goal was the wind's fault http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/pompey/video-paul-cook-s-post-match-verdict-1-7608355

Radio 4 just reported that Black has denied the allegations.

Graeme Potter wasn't very good.

I always use my customer number to sign in for tickets. Just tried it on the new website and it worked fine.

Wow, what an experience this will be for Hesketh. I'm so happy for him. Having 3 academy graduates in the team for an away Europa League game makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Les Reed talks Foreign Player Quota & Scouting Street Football

That is true. I know him. Another goalkeeper who signed to the Academy last year (he was one of the ones playing on the pitch at half time when they were introduced to the crowd at St Mary's) was invited to the development squad after being spotted playing for Eastleigh. The conversation between the scout and his mother went like this: "Is that your son in goal? He's good" "Yes it is" "How tall is his Dad?" That goes to show how much importance they place on height for a goalkeeper now. Speed seems to be an issue amongst players as it took Saints 2 years to invite the best player in his age group at Tyro to train with them. This kid was unbelievably good, the most professional player I have seen at a young age (I watched him regularly from age 8-10) yet despite signing a few of his teammates it seemed Saints weren't interested because they considered him too slow. He didn't seem that lacking in pace to me but then I'm not a scout. I'm pleased he was offered the chance to train with them because he's got everything, plus it means his team is weaker so my son's team have a chance against them now! -

Wall ball seems popular amongst my son and his friends. They also spend a lot of time doing skills they copy off FIFA or playing crossbar challenge. -
What I liked about the photos was that both Clyne and Lennon seemed to be surrounded by flunkies while our players were just out by themselves. No doubt they are all ripping it out of Forster in training for that picture.

Good work Saints. That's so much better.
