He was around a few weeks ago, I stood next to him watching my son play for the Hamble School year 8 team. Presumably he still has a house around here? Sounded like it from a conversation he was having.

Takes a few risks beating players in front of our box which was his undoing today but other than that he looks very decent. In his slight defence he should never have had the ball to give it away. Davis played a totally unnecessary first time backward pass when he was in acres of space in midfield, could have controlled the ball and driven forward. Before the match when the teams were warming up Hoedt and Van Dijk were smashing 50 yard passes to each other. Hoedt's were so accurate that Van Dijk never had to move.

How did Boufal get a £600 fine for driving 6mph over the speed limit?

Although tomorrow I'll be nowhere near Liverpool and will be watching Sholing Vs Petersfield.

Somewhere near Goodison Park. General rule for a Merseyside away game is to drink in the pubs of the home fans of their rivals.

Random Ex- Academy Player Transfer News no-one will care about...

The day Mark Dennis turned up to collect the post from the office I worked in in 1998 was a bit of a surprise. -
I wish he was in character as Brian Gittins. He played in Southampton recently and was absolutely hilarious. As for this film, well it made me laugh. All pretty harmless stuff and quite inventive for a football club.

Olivier Bernard wins that competition, no contest. I can't remember a player looking more disinterested or putting in less effort than him.

I think it's great that the players still sign before and after the games at St Mary's. Quite a few clubs don't allow it these days.

I saw Willard play in Maidstone's first match this season against Maidenhead and he had a decent game. Looked lively, played some nice passes, hit the bar, definitely didn't look out of place. I wouldn't say there was any physical problems, I think people slightly underestimate the fitness of conference teams these days. Pretty much all are full time and you don't get so many big lumps kicking crap out of people anymore. He has dropped out of favour though after other players returned to fitness (including ex Eastleigh midfielder Jai Reason) and has recently gone on loan to Eastbourne. Possible problems with his attitude, but the few people I know that watch Maidstone regularly were impressed with his technical ability and thought he was a good player. -
We normally stop at the Titanic pub in Stone before driving the last few miles to the ground. Was a few Saints in there last year.

Difference with the 2 players you mentioned is that they had other aspects to their game which more than compensated for a lack of running, although I'd hazard a guess they put in more of a shift than Austin does. Both Lambert and Pelle were superb at holding the ball up, bringing others into play, linking with the attacking midfielders, bullying defenders, winning headers. Austin does none of that, although granted he does know where the goal is. In a team that plays 1 up front he doesn't offer enough to be guaranteed a place in the side. He had a chance to prove this Wolves and looked completely disinterested.
-
Surely anyone with eyes can see that Austin is a waste of a shirt at the moment. I did more running trying to make the train the other day than he has all season. Play Long wide behind Gabbi. He'll wind up their players and fans who will need a new boy boo on our team now Martina has left.
-
Were the blokes who got thrown out Saints or Man Utd? I'm at the other end so couldn't work out what happened, although I did see loads of stuff being lobbed up towards the boxes above Block 2.
-
First half they were loud but tailed off dramatically in the second. Sadly that was the point when we should have ramped up our support but it pretty much fizzled out.
-
No surprise that a foul wasn't given before the goal. There were loads of shoves in the box that went unpunished. Long pulled Jones's shirt then pushed him before getting a (weak) header in at one point in the second half.
-
Yeah, but good set up by calling Stoke poor so he can have a moan if we don't win next Saturday.
-
Actually thought he was miles better today than against Palace. As for trying Target instead of him as Manuel suggested, well that's just barmy. If anything we play Gabbi up top and Long or Boufal in place of Redmond.
-
Problem with Long is that even when he doesn't actually do much with the ball he is extremely effective in making runs, pulling defenders out of position, winning balls he doesn't seem to have any chance of getting to and annoying the opposition. If he could finish he'd be an amazing player.
-
Top quality again today, probably the best player on the pitch. I love him rolling the ball back under his foot then pushing it forward and running off. Seems to work every time.

Nice to see that Stagecoach check their grammar before tweeting.

M3 closed in both directions at Winchester, currently 3 hour hold up. Maybe a delayed kick off?

Not sure where the OP is coming from when mentioning that the band works well at England games, I thought they were universally hated. Otherwise, what Eric said.
