  1. Brilliant today, and I reckon he'll make a good coach. Reads the game so well. Wonder if we can find a space for him at the Academy, he's a model professional.
  2. Made me chuckle, for about 5 mins after the goal the whole of the Northam were explaining the offside rule with swearing and hand gestures and a general look of wtf???? No harm done ultimately. In related weirdness who else spotted Richardson playing with one boot and making a couple of decent passes?
  3. Just seen the Daggers fail to equalise at Udders, ****ing hell they got lucky...
  4. Just about remember 78. Have the programme at home. Boring game, the other team that went up was Bolton ISTR. As has been mentioned elsewhere recently Brighton thought it was a stitch up (which wouldn't surprise me - Germany and Austria did it in the World Cup)
  5. I dreamt we had Messi and Raul in midfield for us and we still couldn't break them down. The we brought Lallana on as supersub
  6. I'd tell Bobby to take better care of himself and pop down the queen alex before he died of pneumonia.
  7. Ah, remember that well, wasn't that the first Prem game to feature a completely non-English side? We got turned over 2 or 3-0
  8. Plymouth still have hope, but hopefully that will be gone by when we play them. If we beat Brighton tomorrow I can see Poyet fielding youngsters in their game against Huddersfield, I'm sure they're trying to go unbeaten at home this season but if that's gone then they really have nothing to play for. A draw would be a good result tomorrow, but I'd be delighted with a win. Brentford and Hartlepool have nothing to play for so we really should win those. Whatever happens this is going down to the Walsall game now.
  9. Evening Star is bloody awesome but a bit on the small side. Great beer though, many lost evenings in there with Brighton mates. Handy because if necessary you could crawl to the station if required
  10. For those of you with kids, how old would they have to be before you took them to their first home game? Mate is considering taking his 5yo to the Hartlepool game. I'm all for early introduction to the faith but 5 seems a bit young?
  11. Thank god Royston was there to wrestle him to the ground, god knows what Southampton would do without him.
  12. Pleased that Carlisle won it, their fans were excellent last year and deserve it...
  13. I did it once, we were 3 down against Sheffield U I think at The Dell. Went to get tickets for a Cup match and missed Le God's 100th? goal for the club. Never again. It's the late joiners and leavers in the first half that I don't get. Some lads near me on the Northam arrive 2-3 mins in to the game, go for a pie/pint at 37, and then religiously leave at 85.
  14. Forte = Pahars vs Blackburn. How I was feelin about half 4 today was the same in that Blackburn game. Let's hope it's just as significant as that turning point was...
  15. 3-3 comng back from 3-0 down against Liverpool, Marian scoring and jumping in the Archers when he equalised. Last year at The Dell I think. At St Marys the quarter final against Wolves, the destruction of Spurs, and the Arsenal game where Delgado scored with his arse.
  16. Had a DC2 for a while, completely brilliant and mental car, way beyond my abilities as a driver. Uncompromising and don't feel like a FWD car on the limit. Noisy, uncomfortable and drinks super at a scarily expensive rate. If you're buying one check and double check for rust, especially rear arches as they are getting to the stage where most are starting to bubble. There are some slits in the leading edge of the arch which can open up if it's been driven hard and they're an absolute magnet for salt and road grime. Would still have it but it made the missus car sick so it had to go
  17. Unfortunately both Saubers just chucked out due to rear wing infringements. Although this means that Di Resta gets a point in his first F1 start.
  18. Anyway, back to bosses. My current one looks like and acts like the general from Inglorious Basterds. Previous one is a friend for life who I would do anything for...
  19. They were good in the race today as well. Got a bit muddled at the start but otherwise insightful and relevant. And DC spotting that Hamiltons floor was broken was the icing on the cake, I doubt many others did. Interesting race, like having the variable strategy stuff back, DRS has potential (and rewards good drivers as it looks a right pig to handle), and the wildly different tyre strategies remind me of when they first came in back in the '80s
  20. Playoffs against Bompey, 5 or 6-0 and then spend the journey back down the M6 mooning at their minibus of fans
  21. Only good news if we do the business tomorrow night...
  22. They were doomed before they got here - their coach was WGS from a firm called Gordons...
  23. Could be a Dellhurst 2 (this time for the right reasons), particularly if Plymouth somehow allocate us more tickets (can't believe they will, as there's no way they'll be safe by then)
  24. We are pretty much guaranteed a playoff spot, no need to panic. We will walk the playoffs, and I fancy another trip to Wembley (would prefer to go up automatically obviously)
  25. Just an example of a young player being a bit uncoordinated and his body not responding to what he wanted to do. Certainly not a Harald Schumacher moment. 3 or 1 game ban? Other than that, he's looked good the few times I've seen him play. Battles well, good control, good pace, willing to have a shot. Definitely one for the future. Looks a bit gangly at the moment, probably still growing which would explain his strange attempt at tackling...
