There is a valid point that we fail to beat teams that we should if we are contenders for a play off place. No point beating Norwich if you are going to drop points at clubs in the bottom three. Promotion this season has gone and that is one of the two chances AP will have. AP has had money and some time now and we stutter and start. DC makes a difference but obviously we cant rely on him. We need to inject more muscle into the team to win when conditions and clubs striving for survival are against us. There is a danger that this season we will tail off in to mediocrity. By the way the JPT is no certaintty. Lose that an AP will be gone by October if he doesnt start well next season Just not good enough results

I am really grateful the club was saved and that we have bought in some good players. AP is a good manager and hopefully knows what he is doing but despite all of that I would really like us to be pushing for the playoffs. Draws against average teams in this league are not really good enough.

Pompey were kept in the games by James and though they had some quality players they showed little commitment till they were ahead. Pompey were really poor. We gave them a game and the scoreline does really flatter. Our team needs to get their heads together and put in some great results to get us back into contention of a play off place. Finishing way off the playoff places will be a poor result. The JPT final wont be a push over either

If you look at the sides as a neutral you would be surprised to see Saints win even ay home. But it is a Cup match and anything can happen. I have to go 1-3 Pompey One thing is they are unlikely to be a premier side by next season and be paying £100k for a goalkeeper each week.

It is probably expecting too much for the Saints to get promoted this season. There was too much disarray to deal with. I think the Cup matches exciting as they are are a major distraction. If AP doesnt get us close to the playoffs( within 3-4 points) he had better start next season well or NC will have him out the door by mid October.

It is going is the right direction and I know it takes time but my idea of success will be seeing Saints beat sides that we should be beating in a way that I dont feel nervous even when we are 2-0 up with twenty minutes to play. \Its been about five years since we had that luxury!

No one is saying AP has not improved the side with his signings but lets say there is still a lot to do. The surrender mentality of some of the players is dreadful and needs to be rooted out now. There is a real danger if we do not improve that playling like this with our ten points penalty will take us down. AP needs all our support my complaint is the atitude and mental approach of the players. Many are just not performing well enough for League 1. And I make no apology for wanting and expecting to see better than our current performances
