I'd prefer that than Fox playing. Plus Matthew Targett is getting closer to the first team.

Its not risky, as the stock market can be manipulated using criminal actions. Target a companies vehicles and destroy them to bring down the price, buy lots of stock in that company and then target the rival companies vehicles to make your investment rise in value.

SSN: Tony Cascarino 'Saints are my dark horses'
Matthew Le God replied to Monk's topic in The Saints
I'd be disappointed with 10th and would be thinking they could have done better, so would Cortese, Pochettino and the Saints squad. Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool and Everton are 7 teams likely to finish above us (although we are closing the gap on Everton quickly). But which two other sides are better than us for us to finish 10th? Swansea City? Who else? Given the investment in the team over the last 2 years Saints should be looking at overtaking Swansea, West Brom etc. 8th at worst is what Saints should be looking to achieve this season. -
Any early highlights from Palace game?

Amazing how many Palace fans think Jason Puncheon can play. They are in for a surprise when they find out it is in the Premier League rules that a loanee can't play against his parent club.

The journalist of that article has written a number of nonsensical, negative Saints articles since the Liebherr takeover that haven't come true. Here is another one... http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2897/championship/2012/03/29/2999081/mystery-consortium-in-talks-to-buy-southampton-for-25m Wayne Veysey of goal.com is the boy who cried wolf and Pochettino in his pre-match press conference just laughed off the suggestion the club is looking to sell Lambert.

I didn't say anyone was, just using that example to point out a flaw in the blanket statement that you shouldn't change a winning team. I'll make it using a Saints example instead, if Luke Shaw didn't play vs Swansea at St Mary's next week and we won, would you want Danny Fox to play at Old Trafford the following week even if Shaw was available and fit to play?
-
I've never understood why people think you shouldn't change a winning team. So if Barcelona won a game vs Getafe and Messi was suspended for it, following through your logic you wouldn't then put Messi back in the side for the next game vs Real Mardrid because it would be "changing a winning side"?
-
I was proposing putting out a side strong enough to beat the opposition. Something the team tonight should do, if we face a Premier League team in the next round I would like to see and would expect to see Pochettino put out very close to a full strength side.
-
Did you think that when Pochettino put a similar side out for the Barnsley game? Why does that have any bearing on tonights game?
-
He is a right back/centre back.
-
When we face a side where better players would be need to beat the opposition. Tonights line-up should be good enough to beat a League 1 side, a similar line-up beat a Championship side easily in the last round. There should in theory be no need to use our first choice players, and it keeps them fresh for Saturday.
-
It'll likely be in the usual 4-2-3-1 system so he'll have 3 other attacking players with him.

I copied and pasted it from the BBC, they mean Jack Stephens. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23763998

How can your statement that "talk of an England call up is mental" be true when he was called up last season by England?
-
He was called up by England last year. So is it really "mental"? Yes, there are a number of people ahead of him, but he isn't that far down the pecking order for it to be described as "mental".
-
"10 to 12 at a minimum"? That is an extremely high figure for a midfielder in the Premier League! Only two midfielders managed 11 or more Premier League goals last season and that was Santi Cazorla and Frank Lampard (who has penalties, which Lallana won't).
-
And our reserves beat a Championship side easily in the last round. Do you not think our reserves are stronger than Crystal Palace's?
-
Do you? Why? The bench for the 5-1 away win over Championship team Barnsley in the 2nd round was... 01 K Davis 02 Clyne 03 Yoshida 06 Fonte 13 Fox 08 S Davis 10 Ramirez 18 Cork 27 Isgrove (Rowe - 72' ) 09 Rodriguez (Reed - 81' ) 24 Mayuka (Sinclair - 90' ) Substitutes 25 Gazzaniga 16 Ward-Prowse 22 Chambers 39 Sinclair 35 Stevens 37 Rowe 38 Reed I think most (if not all) of the starting XI for the Crystal Palace game next Saturday won't be involved at all tomorrow and it'll be fringe players in the starting XI and youngsters on the bench. Lambert, Lallana, Boruc, Shaw, Clyne, Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Osvaldo, Lovren etc all probably won't feature and they shouldn't need to. The starting XI from the Barnsley team is more than strong enough to beat a League One team, as they should in the last round vs. a Championship side.

He is a Man Utd fan, so may explain the predicting Liverpool to lose.

Vague predictions can bite you on the arse.
Matthew Le God replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
Is that not what Wanyama said...? Journalist #1: In terms of what you thinks achievable this season for this team, what would you like to see them achieve? Wanyama: Obviously first is to just do better than last season and then we will see what will happen. Journalist #1: Do you think thats possible? Wanyama: I think yeah its possible. Journalist #2: Do you think Champions League football is possible with Southampton? Wanyama: Yeah, I believe one day, you know, everything, step by step, then I believe one day we will be also there.
