He most certainly did, then modified his statement to say Arsenal would finish between 15 and 20 points clear of Southampton. MLT didn't seem to impressed!
The thing is though, it is just that a cruise port of call like Lerwick, Tobermory or Portland. Southampton however is a major turnaround port and home base for some of the worlds most famous and important cruise vessels.

I think this worked in our favour with players like Toby A, Tadic, Pelle and maybe even Bertrand all very keen to link up and work with Koeman. Difficult to imagine any big names or talented individuals wanting to do that with Brendan.
