  1. In famous 3 kings now for a pre match drink. We have a spare ticket if anyone wants it? Face value its £45, happy to sell for £30. Cheers.
  2. I think he was being ironic in light of recent comments about our support from friends of certain other posters on here. The lads were in fine voice today though. Great effort.
  3. Not convinced he dived to be honest. Think the weight of his upper body as he shifted forced him over. Great performance by him today though. Ran his socks off.
  4. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
  5. I reckon 12th in the Prem.
  6. Why? I think people forget how good he was. He was excellent. Great passer, good experience, model professional, good engine and his performances around 2002 and 2003 were brilliant.
  7. A bit rich coming from a mackem. They are famous for when being asked where they are from by people on holiday, telling them 'Newcastle'. As for their ground, not bad apart from the pink seats. From my geordie brother in law... (in the tune of the whole world in your hands) They've got 27,000 empty seats 27,000 empty seats, 27,000 empty seats, Sunderlands a massive club. They've got £5 for adults and the kids go free, £5 for adults and the kids go free £5 for adults and the kids go free Sunderlands a massive club They've got Steve Cram, celebrity fan Steve Cram, celebrity fan Steve Cram, celebrity fan Sunderland's a massive club.
  8. The archetypal away performance. Got their noses in front and then defended as if their lives depended on it. Can't fault the effort, Sunderland stopped us from passing the ball around and gave us no time on the ball. Roll on the next game.
  9. Great save at the far post from Holt's header. Bad mistake but he's young and will get over it. Much rather keep going with him over KD and fatty Boruc.
  10. Rolling Stones once played a gig at The Hut in Chandlers Ford. True story.
  11. Funny you say that. I'm Crewe on my game and go on holiday when we play Saints!
  12. Love the bloke but can't help thinking with his media contacts and income at Sky, he could get access to a box/corporate seat any time he liked if he didn't have an agenda over Cortese to highlight.
  13. Totally agree. If we go down, so be it. We will be stronger for the experience. The club has a vision for producing 50% of the squad/team from the academy. This will not change overnight and rightly so. If it is to our detriment in the short term, I think Adkins and Cortese will accept that. The only time I can see this changing is if Adkins loses the dressing room. Based on today's first half I thought this might be the case but they showed spirit in the 2nd half which I don't think they'd show if their heart wasn't in it.
  14. Far too cliquey on here now. Far too many people who believe the general consensus amongst fans posting on an internet forum reflect the general consensus of the fans on the terrace. All threads get taken over by the same people and as such descend in to the same arguments. Only last week noticed I am no longer a full member. Haven't got a clue how long that's been the case as I can't remember the last time I felt compelled to make more than 3 posts in a day.
  15. Hi guys, thanks for all your replies. Very much appreciated. FAO Saint in Paradise: The tournament is held at the FC Dallas Complex in Frisco with the final being played at FC Dallas' stadium which I am led to believe is also on the complex. Because of this, I think we are looking to stay in Frisco so any recommendations of placed to stay, eat, drink and do around there would be great. Saints will have a game at least 5 of the 9 days we'll be out there for so realistically we'll need recommendations of things within relatively close proximity. Seen a few people have now mentioned the book depository so I will check that out. Jillyanne - I love my grub so I think Dallas and I will get on just fine!
  16. This is confirmed. Goalkeepers are told under no circumstances hoof the ball. Always give to a defender and let them bring out of defence. Even if they are all being tightly marked. Like it or not, the club now has an ethos. An identity. A way of playing the game. If it doesn't produce wins in the Premier League, we'll get relegated. We won't sell out and bring in a long ball manager to preserve PL status. We are playing the long game. If you don't like it, you better learn to.
  17. Anyone ever been? My nephew has today been told he is going to play in the Dallas Cup in March/April next year. Me and my brother in law will be going to watch. Bit of support but mainly an excuse for us to get away and have a week on the ******. Can anyone recommend things to do, places to see, reasonably priced places to stay, bars, restaurants etc... Cheers.
  18. From how far out?
  19. Surprised no one has mentioned Neil McCann...
  20. Signed from QPR when he was 14. My girlfriend is mates with his sister. Funny thing is that apparently he hates it in Liverpool and has his heart set on a move to Arsenal.
  21. Hi Stu, I don't know anyone myself but my Dad owns the Dog and Crook pub in Braishfield. He is quite involved with local community stuff etc... I'm sure he won't mind you putting a sign up on the notice board in there. Tell him Sam suggested it if you like. I'd expect a few of his regulars will have kiddies of a suitable age. Cheers.
  22. Good OP. Couldnt agree more. If the season ended now it would be mission accomplished.
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gub1O_3NfnE runs her close IMO.
  24. Pretty sure theauthor of the book is a regular, well known poster on here. For me, its CMFG.
  25. 2 promotions in his 2.5 years at the club? What more do you want?
