Yago Falqué - just remembered we have him on loan
Stu Man Do replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Looked average/below average on debut and we now have better/more on form players back in the squad. Seems a pretty pointless loan thus far in the O'Hallaran(sp?) loan a few seasons back. Bagpuss will not be happy! -
Damn iPad .... Thought you could be quicker out of the league for two admins so close together?
-
Quick question without going through pages ... Is there any reason they won't get more than a ten point penalty? I always thought you could get
-
If I was big sam i'd be telling Cole to get in some hefty challenges on Davis! Probably would have been worth having Bart in for Conners today on that basis as Lee seems to be a bit tougher and thus better off for this game than DC.

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11728/7422134/Seasiders-snubbed-in-Vardy-bid I know its not a link for us but this is a couple of weeks old ... 750K for a non league striker and that was rejected. Hate to think what sort of crazy figure they've put on him! Just shows how mental the transfer system has gotten in this country when you consider we spent about that on Barnard who had 20+ goals in the 3rd division that season!

Too many of our fans turn up to games and are happy to sit quietly watching the game without so much as clapping along or calling encouragement to ever get a really good atmosphere going. Worst thing I find is the dirty looks some people give you for having the sheer audacity to try and get involved in the singing!

Quick question though may have already been answered somewhere ... If it comes to it can AA be appointed as the administrator for the club whilst also acting as a seperate administrator for the parent company?

Why do loads of people not rate De Ridder?
Stu Man Do replied to hypochondriac's topic in The Saints
I think some criticism of him is fair but I agree in some cases people are slating him in a rather over the top way. Firstly his pace is scary but as we have seen with Theo at Arse this is no guarentee of a decent winger, it takes a level of intelligence in final ball selection that I'm not sure SDR has or at least not on any consistent level. OC was super fast and had the intelligence to pick a decent final ball more often than not. People are obviously like for like evaluating Steve against him, hes more Antonio than Oxlade-Chamberlain IMO. Sometimes he'll look great others he'll look garbage. -
Who is this week's mystery signing?
Stu Man Do replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Sounds like you have some other information then but only the other day Adkins says he was unaware of a bid that was "leaked" by Puncheons agent http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16550877.stm Seems odd he wouldn't know surely? I imagine we must have recouped a fair amount in loan fees from JP so I would be of the mind to ship him out cheaper and load up on sell on clauses and the like. -
A question for the mods about this main board
Stu Man Do replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
Seeing as how you mention the "red mist" that descends on some people when they read your posts is it a worthwhile suggestion to change your user name and come back with the new and improved alpine and start from scratch? End of the day this is a forum to discuss your views on our club. Don't be too negative, don't take it to heart to much if someone disagrees with you and be open to changing your view based on others input. -
Sounds like we've both been stitched up by a ref in our games this season. Enjoy your 5 mins of respite though you lot are gone and forgotten now ;-)
-
You really do have to question this obsession with changing our play to make us go so narrow through the middle! They've been taking the **** for the last ten mins now IMO bringing on Forte is pretty much close to worthless!

Saints 0 Bristol City 1 - Post Match Reactions
Stu Man Do replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Ref - dire, how can you miss blatant 2 handed shoves on RL? Whats the point of booking a player for time wasting in the 90th minute after a whole half of time wasting!? AL- Not amazing but hardly helped by having Fox behind him refusing to get forward of the half way line. Can't help but feel that although Fox is probably the better player is he the BEST player for this team? The whole ethos of the team has been pass and move in the last year and yet Fox tends to take a touch and bang it up the line or cross field which was totally worked out by their right back. Overall we didnt seem up for it and Brizzle had the perfect game plan. Defend it in numbers for 70 odd mins and then give it a real good go. Adomah looked a bit tricky but rather greedy and Maynard IMO didnt look worth the reported 3-4 million. No better than what we have. -
I've just come back from the TO now. Only seats avail between blocks 11-27 not sure if this is includes blocks 1-3 as already sold. Also Over xmas brought some tickets online at the brighton center who's online ticket sales software was excellent. You could go pick your own seats and check availability in 2 clicks rather than the clumsy rubbish we have via our website. Get onto it TO!

25k? Hardly worth having developed him if thats all that comes in! Hopefully this loan is more for experience than from any genuine need to offload him as he sounds like hes doing well.
-
Equally though Middlesbourghs home form has been nothing great won 4 drawn 6 at home. Can't personally see how they will suddenly do any better than us.
-
Burnley equalise! Get in! Sounds like one of them days at the minute nothing happening up front for us and they sound dangerous! Id be thinking about bringing Barney on up front and taking off Hammond who hasn't had a mention in the commentary I've listened to! As I write sharp scores ... target striker in shock scores against us drama ... where have we seen that before?! Damn!
-
Probably would have kept hold of him when he left as Lg1 without (at the time) any recognised forwards seemed a bit daunting. Wouldn't touch him with barge poll now though. No better than he was when he left IMO.
-
Personally I thought we could have moved Guly to Right Mid and SDR to play alongside Lambo to give us some pace. For me MS is not dynamic enough to do the job Chappie has been doing for us and this stunted our entire game plan.
-
Have to say sounds like one of them days. Losing Chaplow so early seems to have buggered up the game plan today. Hope we can nick one but can't see from where at the moment!
-
Crazy isn't it!? I remember going to a reserve game at SMS against Chelsea that got something like 8000 fans watching. 3-3 if I remember rightly I'm sure Beattie scored!
-
Been coming :-( 2-2 FFS
-
I'll give it a possible shout ... to the song Stand and Deliver Steeeeeve De Ridderrr He'll f-in take the **** Dum de dum de dum Theres a start feel free to ignore but its can't be any worse than our main chant for him being his first name!
-
I'd just like to say I'm sorry for that last 15 minutes ... said to the old boy at half time that it would "sort of" be nice to have a team give us a game as it was getting a little boring! Thank god for this new Saints I'm sure we can all remember games from times gone by where that would have ended up as 2-2! Glad Chappers stuck it to mini Ferguson again and another super 3 points! Onwards and upwards! I still can't fully believe that I'm not dreaming!
-
To be fair David we have obviously been bloody lucky ... When will teams stop accidently letting in goals for the mighty Saints at St Marys?! Anyone else bloody glad Chappers has stuck 2 fingers up to Mini Ferguson AGAIN?!
