Hardly a bogey team when we were beating them 5-0 last season though ey!? Seems to me like we have changed our tactics from then to our detriment meaning Lambert is ineffective and having removed all the pace from our team we are not as effective going forward. Why oh why is Chaplow ok for the bench yet not for a start? If he's injured then having him on the bench is a waste anyway!

My expectation is now to finish somewhere between 5th and 8th. I think we might just end up sneaking into the playoffs but I'm not sure we'd win them! Hopefully Sunday/Tuesday will kick start our season and from then RL will score 30 goals and this post will be sent to the "talking rubbish" bin!

But surely we want to move away from having all these "crap" squad players? Why sign him up on the basis he could do a job potentially maybe one in every 40 games. My mates a boro fan and is yet to stop laughing when I tell him how people on here actually want us to sign him!

Good job people have forgotten he saved us a point in the very last game before this with penalty save v Brighton. He is defo gash though ey! Must have made him feel really good getting ironic cheers from our own fans saturday when he caught a ball after conceeding.

I was saying to the guys go with yesterday that our style of play totally negates RL. Last season we had two speedsters who got the ball forward super quick leaving him with acres of space to do his thing. How many clear cut shooting chances did he have yesterday or in fact in recent games? Not many I've noticed hes getting the odd half chance but without last years confidence is looking to pass these off to help the team get into a better position. This tippy tappy pass sideways bollaxs were playing at the minute just slows down the whole game and lets defenders and midfielders get goal side of our attacks without any trouble.

No depth to our squad at the moment. Unlike last season no one useful on the bench to change the game though surely today making a change would have helped! Poor poor poor today not sure I think anyone in that team comes out of this with any positive spin! Need a pacey winger/ Striker in as a bare minimum!

He really engineered his dismissal for a job thats come up 3 months after he was sacked here? Thats bloody clever! Judging by alot of fans views on here he just isnt that good tactically surely? ;-)

12million (and yes I am aware we were paid off early) for a 16 year old is a bargain? I think Lowe actually got as good a deal as we could have hoped for at the time Theo was always going to go once Chelsea and Arsenal started knocking on the door!

Does anyone else think the fact that at the time he had "rejected chelsea,arsenal" etc to sign and play for us has given some people and unrealistic view on his actual worth. Undoubtably the boy could turn out to be something good but seems to me he generally lacks direction in his game play. He is neither an attacking mid in that he doesn't really get ahead of the game or provide the superb range of passing he managed to do in some meaningless pre-season friendlies e.g West ham He, to my mind at least is also not a good defensive midfielder, he marks space, he bottles tackles and lacks the required level of up and at them which we all seem to love in the English game. At present I'd far prefer chaplow in there. I think he needs to be given a more settled role in the team so he doesnt run around making a hash of both sides of his game.

Wasnt the magic break even number 19,000 with the stadium debt et al under Lowe and with Championship wages etc Surely must now be around the 15 -17k break even figure so with an average of what 21k? We must be doing well enough =]

Not entirely sure what game you were watching saved one defo goal in the first half with his cut out of a long ball to m-smith and won all his headers a 5/10 is complete balls of a mark as a grade on your marking there id say Must do better ;-)
