12million (and yes I am aware we were paid off early) for a 16 year old is a bargain? I think Lowe actually got as good a deal as we could have hoped for at the time Theo was always going to go once Chelsea and Arsenal started knocking on the door!

I hear that FIFA have already accepted bids from Afghanistan for 2026 and North Korea for 2030 :-p

Does anyone else think the fact that at the time he had "rejected chelsea, arsenal" etc to sign and play for us has given some people and unrealistic view on his actual worth. Undoubtably the boy could turn out to be something good but seems to me he generally lacks direction in his game play. He is neither an attacking mid in that he doesn't really get ahead of the game or provide the superb range of passing he managed to do in some meaningless pre-season friendlies e.g West ham He, to my mind at least is also not a good defensive midfielder, he marks space, he bottles tackles and lacks the required level of up and at them which we all seem to love in the English game. At present I'd far prefer chaplow in there. I think he needs to be given a more settled role in the team so he doesnt run around making a hash of both sides of his game.

Wasnt the magic break even number 19,000 with the stadium debt et al under Lowe and with Championship wages etc Surely must now be around the 15 -17k break even figure so with an average of what 21k? We must be doing well enough =]

A friend of mine is currently working out in Seoul where they have a mass fan goal celebration to the rickie lambert tune Looks pretty good fun!

Not entirely sure what game you were watching saved one defo goal in the first half with his cut out of a long ball to m-smith and won all his headers a 5/10 is complete balls of a mark as a grade on your marking there id say Must do better ;-)

James Beattie - 1 million really important goals out for 6.5 million Marian Pahars - 1m(ish)? The amount of money he must have saved the club with his relegation saving goals in the great escape season alone make him a good deal. Jasmine Wright/ Jason Mule - provided me and friends with hours of entertaining banter! -
3-1 Lallana yay!
-
yessss!! 2-1 Barnard!
-
I see in the paper this morning we are the highest in terms of shooting chances (170) in the whole division! Pretty poor strike rate at the moment!
-
Coventry away in the play off season Dowies first game in charge we lost 2-1
-
I also seem to remember bids of 10 m (plus Beardsley?) from Newcastle and was it a 15m(?) deal agreed with Spurs pre contracted etc until we stayed up?
-
YESSSS! Fonteeeeegoaaaaaaalll =]

I'm not a massive Puncheon fan but thats just plain wrong. The guy has an excellent first touch, very rarely messes up his first touch and brings the ball down extremely well. Its just the lack of vision(?) he sometimes seems to have that stops him being a really top level (for this division) player.
-
Doesn't he actually say in that article that hearing the booing made him want to play better?
-
Some bad news for some of you then .... Charlottes from portsmouth :-o
-
I think you have to realise that he actually played alot better on saturday than in previous games and is obviously taking longer than we hoped to get back to full fitness and sort his game head out. Dropping him would only increase the problems IMO he needs games and chances to get himself sorted.

I'm sure they loved getting dicked 6-4 at home having been 4-2 at half time! I only listened via the radio but it hardly sounds as if we can see the barn door at the moment let alone get a chance to hit it with a banjo I don't know the stats but we can't have made the gk work all that hard tonight. What is really miffing is the fact so many players sounded like they weren't wearing the corrrect footwear so couldnt stay upright long enough to get off a shot!
-
Disappointed more than anything. I thought we'd really kick on once we scored the first goal. Stupid penalty from the sounds of it possibly a case of the ref evening up the earlier one which was apparently nailed on. IMO it is dropped points but on the plus side it could have been worse, try being a Leeds fan tonight!
