I read somewhere earlier (BBC website maybe!) that Dave Mcgoldrick is out for 3 months so unless they sign someone else soonish I think this one is probably dead if in fact it was a go to begin with! Would be just as happy to see Antonio signed up full time instead as I don't think we are really that short up front more a problem with pace from midfield/bench to change a game up.

Well Rupert Lowe was reported as saying once that the pay offer we'd made Hassan before he buggered off to Villa "Would have made him able to live like a king in his own country". Things CP fans should get used to ... 1) Playing players out of position 2) Continually playing unpopular/underperforming players regardless of what they do in a game 3) Hiding in the dug out when things are going badly 4) Getting rid of good players on the cheap to replace them with "his" players 5) Blaming anything from a divet to the team not gelling yet for defeats

Not sure I can see SA holding it together over first Forlan and Sanchez and then probably Henry and Anelka but for the competition I'd really like to see SA and maybe Mexico go through looked the most inventive teams in the first two games anyway!

How many rumours did you hear last year about Harding, Hammond or half a dozen other players before we finally signed them as far as I can remember the rumour was Barnard had signed for Leeds and look where he ended up! From what I hear its definately the sash design. Like the umbro tailored for england shirt (before the current one) so with the old style collar. Although I only heard this from someone who knows someone at the club so take it or leave it as useful or not!! :-D Sounds good to me though if it's true!

Can't say I'm suprised. Looks like he has lost alot of confidence as shown by his lack of willingness to run with the ball as often as I remember him doing when he first came on the scence or THAT game vs croatia. Always seems to want too much time and is easily bullied off the ball. He has time on his side but I think he def needs to improve his crossing as a minimum before he's picked for England on a regular basis.

Expecting 3.5 to 4m for Utaka? Thats some seriously creative book keeping! With his wages they'll be lucky to offload him for much more than a million!

That looks SO much better Dan, hopefully the club will re-evaluate the design with the red blob I for one don't like it as it ruins the look of the design. I also quite like the idea of using a more "retro" crest seeing as this is a celebration of the history of our club.

Three moments for me; Waigo scoring the equaliser v Norwich in the cup (mates a norwich fan gave it some added spark) Lambert equaliser v the Skates - didn't see who scored, didnt hear the stupid post goal music or the crappy tannoy announcement just 30,000 odd saints fans going absolutely mental amazing! Kelv picking up the cup at wembley never thought Id get to go as a Saints fan fantastic day - we were on our way back!

I remember reading somewhere last season that we needed 17,000 a game to break even on staging games last season and that was taking into account the stadium mortgage etc so based on that the break even figure for crowds must be much less surely? Also anyone know, did we take much money from ticket sales for the JPT final or does that go to wembley/FA?

A reduced wages Thomas is worth keeping I would think, certainly does a decent job filling in at right back in niggly games and IMO better than Dan Seabourne at CB. Can't argue with the rest of those though. Perry might be worth a shout at some level of the club though, can only help the younger players to learn from someone as experienced as him.

Seabourne - poor mans Elliott Ward? ;-) Had some good games and some dire ones that I've seen him in. Was terrible vs Oldham and only thanks to the gk that we didnt lose that game after he gifted two chances to Oldham that any half decent team would have taken easily. Needs time but reminds me somewhat of Oli "super good prospect" Lancashire.

Wouldn't be a bad option to come in now MS is suspended ;-)
