Best Value For Money Signings 1. Mark 'Psycho' Dennis...

James Beattie - 1 million really important goals out for 6.5 million Marian Pahars - 1m(ish)? The amount of money he must have saved the club with his relegation saving goals in the great escape season alone make him a good deal. Jasmine Wright/ Jason Mule - provided me and friends with hours of entertaining banter! -
3-1 Lallana yay!
-
yessss!! 2-1 Barnard!
-
I see in the paper this morning we are the highest in terms of shooting chances (170) in the whole division! Pretty poor strike rate at the moment!
-
Coventry away in the play off season Dowies first game in charge we lost 2-1
-
I also seem to remember bids of 10 m (plus Beardsley?) from Newcastle and was it a 15m(?) deal agreed with Spurs pre contracted etc until we stayed up?
-
YESSSS! Fonteeeeegoaaaaaaalll =]

I'm not a massive Puncheon fan but thats just plain wrong. The guy has an excellent first touch, very rarely messes up his first touch and brings the ball down extremely well. Its just the lack of vision(?) he sometimes seems to have that stops him being a really top level (for this division) player.
-
Doesn't he actually say in that article that hearing the booing made him want to play better?
-
Some bad news for some of you then .... Charlottes from portsmouth :-o
-
I think you have to realise that he actually played alot better on saturday than in previous games and is obviously taking longer than we hoped to get back to full fitness and sort his game head out. Dropping him would only increase the problems IMO he needs games and chances to get himself sorted.
-
I'm sure they loved getting dicked 6-4 at home having been 4-2 at half time! I only listened via the radio but it hardly sounds as if we can see the barn door at the moment let alone get a chance to hit it with a banjo I don't know the stats but we can't have made the gk work all that hard tonight. What is really miffing is the fact so many players sounded like they weren't wearing the corrrect footwear so couldnt stay upright long enough to get off a shot!
-
Disappointed more than anything. I thought we'd really kick on once we scored the first goal. Stupid penalty from the sounds of it possibly a case of the ref evening up the earlier one which was apparently nailed on. IMO it is dropped points but on the plus side it could have been worse, try being a Leeds fan tonight!

Sheffield Wednesday 0-1 Saints - Post-match reaction thread

But ... We GOT ONE!! FINALLY! Thought we might take a spanking today but sounded like we soaked up the pressure well and became far more confident once the goal went in! Ideally get an early goal in tuesdays game and Yeovil could take one helllllllofa beating ;-) -
Meaningless because they don't fit with what you're spouting? I agree that hes been poor this season but to bang on that as a striker he isn't scoring enough and not good enough for the team is just wrong. The guys scored over 60 goals in 2 seasons at this level so hes hardly unproven at this level.

Last year Lambert left Colchester for Norwich after resigning. If memory serves the compo was only sorted in the summer by tribunal so doesnt seem to have affected his ability to start work as soon as he had resigned. As others have said clearly we need some direction at the moment and need the new bloke in ASAP else next weeks result is already a foregone conclusion! :-(
-
Personally I think if hes carrying an injury we would be better off taking him out of the next game with a place on the bench and let him get that sorted. We will be in even bigger trouble if his groin, if that is the issue, does go and hes out for 6 or 7 weeks. From what I've seen of him in the home games this year he looks markedly off the pace from not having a full pre season is it just me or does he appear to be carrying some excess baggage in comparison to last season?
-
You have only just realised a team including the likes of Landon Donovan and David Beckham would beat a 3rd division English team? Amazing! It is of course disappointing but what would else do you expect?
-
-
Do you think our scouts misheard and hes actually from Brizzzzle not Braaazil? ;-) Never a winger! Seemed to me like Harding lost all faith in him to do anything after 20 mins and just stopped passing to him!
-
The only difference between ourselves on this forum and MLT in this scenario is that he is associated to the media and therefore his views will recieve wider audience. That and the fact that for most of my early Saints supporting life he WAS southampton fc means IMO let him have his say. Hes a grown man and if he wants to have a pop at Cortese he is fully entitled to do so.

Exactly for all the fuss made over him being an amazing youth team development coach how many Charlton super stars can you come up with that he coached to a decent level from his youth academy?
