I think we are going to click very soon and give someone a bit of a pasting

Yes he does drink Malibu & Coke in pubs Bearsy. I use to manage a few pubs/bars/restaurants in Romsey, including Judges (part owned by ex hants cricketer Robin Smith) and have served him.

Yet after the west brom game, Paul merson on sky said that Wanyama looked a £20m player and should be at a top 4 club
-
I kind of get where you are coming from, however I really don't think we should be cashing in. Cork is a very good squad player as well as being a very good CM player he can also cover a number of other positions. The one thing that has let us down in the past has been our strength in depth and on Saturday I finally looked at our bench and thought wow that's better. It will only take a couple of injuries and/or suspensions and Cork will be in the 11 again.

England Moldova Sept 6th. Rickie in squad?
westmidlandsaint replied to Giordano's topic in The Saints
Surely the squad will be Rooney, Welbeck, Sturridge (in for Defoe) & Lambert ahead of Carroll. I think Lambert will make the next squad or 2 but not get any game time and will be slowly phased out of the squad, this way Hodgson saves a big fuss if he doesn't pick him in the next squad after his Scotland heroics bu everyone will have forgotten about that in 2/3 squads time. -
Bloody hell some people are really making a mountain out of a mole hill........they are seats for gods sake, when the stadium is full on a match day you won't see them anyway
-
The 5 % is pro rata I believe we will get 2.5% as the 5% depends on how many years the player was with the club between certain ages. As we sold Bale at a young age I believe we are only entitled to around half the 5%.

Its the impression I have got from reading various posts and conversations i have had regarding Osvaldo. I would prefer not to start naming people as this will just start another argumentative thread. My post was just my opinion on 'he's only coming here for money' it wasn't aimed at any particular poster
-
I don't get this train of thought that if a player comes here for money they are not going to try etc If a player comes here for £60k he's probably going to play out of his skin to try and get a move to a big 4 or top European club who will pay him £100k a week. It's no different than a sales person leaving a £20k a year job to go to £25k a year job he's not going to stop selling just because he went there for the extra money, we are just talking bigger numbers

The latest from Di Marzio http://www.gianlucadimarzio.com/calciomercato/southampton-is-confident-for-osvaldo-but-wolfsburg-and-tottenham-are-still-in-race/

Napoli now apparently looking at Eto'o so if they get him with Higuain etc can't see them going for Osvaldo too

Stoke City - awful football not surprised Pulis went, imagine having to watch that week in week out.

Furio Valcareggi he is Giaccherini (just signed for Sunderland) agent. -
striker
-
With the current squad I would expect us in the 10th - 12th place bracket, with a couple more signings notably a top class striker I could see us pushing 7th - 9th

Wow Painswick Close we are practically neighbours. Our back garden ends at the woods/trees at the top of Painswick Close. If you are driving its literally up the hill (rough hill drive) at McDonalds roundabout turn right at the roundabout and I'm on the right between the fleece pub and eagle pub just before the Co-op. we'll definitely have to meet up for a pint good to have another one of us around.

This. Please. Thank you -
Where in Redditch are you Ado? I'm on Evesham Rd in Crabbs Cross there's a few Saints fans around couple of watch the televised games in The Fleece on Evesham Rd, I know the landlord in there so sometimes gets the non-televised games as well through his dodgy satellite tv.
-
I'm in Redditch but with a young family and a non football loving fiancée it's hard to get down very often but when I do, I'll let you know. I tend to go to Villa home & away as step daughter and work colleagues are villa fans, Norwich home and away as my mate supports them and then a few others. Couple of us saints fans watch televised games in my local in redditch.

Ignore 'the haters' Glasgow this is a forum where people can come & post their thoughts whether they are ITK or not that's the idea of forums. For every 1 person that slags you off there are a dozen like me who log on numerous times a day to hear what people have to say. It is up to us to decide whether we should believe or not what each person is saying. I live in the West Midlands and hear more about what's happening at villa then I do about saints and I miss the talk in the pubs & at work so need forums like this and posters like you. -

So city get rid of balotelli and replace with Osvaldo a fruit cake for a fruit cake -
Unfortunately it looks like Coventry will be ground sharing with Northampton Town for the next 3 years. A 70 mile round trip for home games!! As you can imagine CCFC fans are distraught/angry/upset/gutted you name it. It seems ever since SISU got involved with them it's been one slippery slope

FWIW I work with a lot of Villa fans and this time last year Bent was to them what Lambert is to us, you wouldn't have found many Villa fans with a bad word about him the only reason they want rid is to get him off the wage bill the same as they have had to or are trying with Given, Dunne, Ireland etc the Villa philosophy is now buy young with cheap wages the problem is for every Benteke there are 2 or 3 De Ridder's -
Am I the only one that is more looking forward to the training/leisure range than the actual kits?
