  1. Will be interesting, assuming Martina goes (out of contract) McCarthy would be our 3rd right back behind Cedric and Pied. Will not get many games if that is the case. Will we put him out on loan for a third year in the Championship?
  2. Djuricic was on £5m. Don't think so Why are we still paying Kelvin as well. The site is clearly complete bollix, probably taken from FIFA17 or some such.
  3. £90,000 per save, outrageous.
  4. Hopefully we don't get gazzumped. Rumours that Barcelona are considering Caceres (amongst others) as replacement for the injured Aleix Vidal. http://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20170212/414272327286/aleix-vidal-barca-fichajes-lateral-derecho.html
  5. How do you "suffer" this? What suffering do you go through? Its simply people guessing what the result will be, based on how we have been playing and how Sunderland have been playing and making their prediction. If you think the result will be otherwise that's fine, but just because others have a different opinion than you doesn't make them bed wetters. Only time will tell what the result will actually be, the odds on Sunderland winning do seem somewhat generous. Immature to label people bed wetters simply because they have different views and trying to make out you or anyone is suffering as a result is really showing a distinct lack of understanding of suffering. Hoping for a draw at least today, we really need it, but my head says we will probably lose based on the relevant circumstances, form, injuries etc..

    Puel

Bollix. There is a happy medium where the style of play is good and games are won. Boring football with few league wins (Puel) is the problem.
  7. Better update Wikipedia then.
  8. I know Forster doesn't save anything, but not having a goalkeeper at all is pushing it a bit.
  9. One less than that will do if we have a better goal difference.
  10. But we won't, we'll just modify it to fit circumstances, as we have done several times in the past, each time that Les Reed has changed "his philosophy". "We don't buy success, well actually we do, but not always, sometimes we breed it if we get lucky, sometimes we just **** up"
  11. Still needs work permit and to be registered.
  12. Romeu definitely has one, even though he did not play in the final. I'd forgotten about Hojbjerg actually so thought it would only be 3.
  13. If we sign him and he is fit to play at Wembley will we have more players with CL winners medals than United?
  14. Maybe they were singing about Pompeii, it's just down the road from Napoli, not as irrelevant for Barry as for many of our other **** song recipients.
  15. Delgado scored twice for Saints (as did Lee).
  16. As it does for every team. It's just a heading.
  17. Hasn't played since February 2016 having just come back from injury in January. Even if we get him, hardly likely to be ready for Sunderland or Man U is he (though he may be more fit that Florin Gardos looks). Still may help with the run-in/relegation fight from March to May.

    Recent form

Of course we are. Did you not see the game today, have a look at the league table. 7 points is nothing. Wake up and smell the coffee.
  19. Not lies, just changes of philosophy. Getting rid now won't help except in the longer term. But what he should do now is relieve CP of his duties. If we do avoid the drop this season then the sooner the entire Board is replaced the better. Need to have more than one football person on the Board.
  20. We have a game next week. No-one is one card away from a suspension (according to the FA). Only a red card for dangerous play (3 game ban) would result in anyone missing the final as far as I can see. You may have a valid concern next week if Romeu gets a yellow today.
  21. People who take the **** should be sure of their facts. A Release Clause represents the minimum amount at which a player will be allowed to discuss a transfer, as eddie stated (and it certainly does not mean how much the transfer will be settled at). It is not a maximum. We've had this before on here and it seems to be a common misconception that it is a maximum. You may choose not to believe me, fair enough, but the below links will confirm: https://www.theguardian.com/football/charles-russell-sports-law-blog/2014/jan/20/rooney-cabaye-buy-out-contracts-premeier-league http://www.danielgeey.com/buy-out-release-clauses-in-football-the-basics/
  22. The only thing you can take from that article is that there is so little difference between any of the teams (except possibly Liverpool) that it is statistically meaningless. You cannot take from that that any team does it any better or any worse than any other. Range 51/7 to 56/10 is nothing.
  23. Ruptured his achilles tendon last Feb, hasn't played since, been without a club since June. Even if the injury has healed how long would he need to get back to match fitness. Probably not much sooner than VvD.
  24. No one thought we would be involved in a relegation battle in 1973/4 either. While the gap is less than 10 points it remains a possibility. 5 defeats in 6 league games is relegation form.
  25. Probably due to him being injured.
