As far as I can see, he actually has done nothing wrong. But he has shown that there are ways and means around the rules, with the implication that he could do it or could have done it himself. Thus the article is a load of rubbish It shows what so many seem to have a problem.with, that the model Cortese put in place, whether good or bad is no longerbthe model and the original Southampton Way no longer exists. A new one may well exist but bears little relationship to the original. The current model no longer relies to a significant extent on the Academy, but instead on replacing players that leave with younger cheaper models.
