Mick never had a serious goal drought, especially in his first spell at the club, goals were not as regular when he came back after Man City, but even so he never went many games without scoring. In his first spell once he was regular and Chivers and Big Ron had gone he hardly ever went more than 3 or 4 games without scoring. Bearing in mind for much of his career he wasn't the main striker (centre forward) anyway his goal scoring record was remarkable, and to compare Pelle's lack of goals with Mick (or Big Ron or Chivers) is laughable and highly disrespectful. There is also a hell of a difference between going 6-8 games without scoring and 13-14, esepcially when a season is now only 38 games, compared to 42.

I don't believe there is any provision for issuing a yellow instead. More to the point do I get my 5 points back in my Sun Dream Team?

All that said, Davis has not been his best since his return from injury, but was close on Saturday. I very much doubt that Koeman will drop him for Liverpool and we currently have no-one better in this position.

Well you should ask Dave Merrington, Charlie Nicholas and a few others, because they are saying the same thing.

Yes thanks, probably more than you. But your usual rude, having a personal dig that's unwarranted misses the point. Point was that Juanmi is really not much more than an under 21, and really still needs to be learning and building his confidence. He really lacks the confidence when he gets a go in the first team, it was so obvious on Saturday. Gets in good positions and makes decent runs, showing he has a good football brain but then doesn't have the confidence to know what to do. As a result Ronald does not give him more opportunities. Needs to be playing more, and at the moment he would do well playing with the U21s who are basically at the same level as him in terms of development. Its not ideal, but the alternative is to get him out on loan to a Championship side, and that's not going to happen this season. I think he's a decent little player, and was really willing him to do something Saturday but his lack of confidence is holding him back at the moment.

Guess the 7 months that separates Juanmi from an under 21 must have more to do with the development of a player than anyone had ever imagined.

They are both officially Under 21s for this season (Born after 1 January 1994 is the qualifying date).

Maybe. Sun Dream Team currently has Toby on 98 points from 32 games, Virgil on 95 points from 25. May be laughable as well, but the stats are beginning to show that VvD is at least as good as Toby this season. DT is also laughable in some respects, for instance they gave Pelle 7 rating today.
