Maybe we should be looking at Vilhenna again, he may be wanting away from Feyenoord (read down from the Chelsea bit). Seems like a few having Osvaldo moments: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/35257926

Sadio Mane: "I don't want to stay at Southampton
VectisSaint replied to SaintLondon's topic in The Saints
We have a permanently (during matches) manned police station inside the ground, which we have to pay for, not just the Bobbies outside, which for many matches as you say are few and far between as you say. However for big grudge matches like Boscombe :-) there was a hefty police presence and those horses require a **** load of hay. -

Thank you. Although to be fair Norwich had 11 men for the first 30 minutes. I don't often praise the lad but he was more than decent that day alongside Romeu. -

2 league goals, lets see that would be the same number as one of our much derided (by you) midfield players in a very poor quality league... Good call -

When Lukaku joined Everton they were a top 6 club. It was on loan, but they finished 5th that season. -
He probably should stick to writing about coffee. As a supposed Saints supporter he should also take more care of his appearance by trying to avoid wearing cheap-looking Skate-like tracky tops [i know its not a Skate top but it was the first impression when I clicked on his profile]

Best to wait until the second part comes out when there do seem to be some intelligent questions asked.

I think a lot of people on here forget he is only just 20. Younger than a good few of those playing for the U21s last night. A big striker will nearl always take longer to develop than a small nippy striker or midfielder. Some still bleat on about jwp and his age, but he is a year older and had a lot more chance. Sam G is clearly still developing. He's not the answer to our current problems but still looks like he will be for the future. Probably would benefit from a good loan out for rest of season, Aberdeen might be a good shout, if not to a Dutch team.

Refreshing to read an article by someone with a brain. Ronald would do well to ensure Sadio and Vic take a read of this.

A Double Florin, that would be rare.

Alfie Jones was also class on his u21 debut, only 18 but showed he can step up. Looks a bright prospect for the future.

Just look at what the win against Arsenal did for us, boosted our confidence and we went on to smash West Ham and Norwich on the back of that confidence booster. Or was I dreaming?

Actually the best game he played for us was earlier this season when he played DM, can't for the life of me remember who it was against. He really isn't a winger and never will be. -
You could have watched him play tonight for the u21s then you would have known. He had a decent game. It was a shocking tackle by Keane that could have severely injured the lad at the time, fortunately the injury was not as bad as feared. Think he had good reason to be upset at the time having made the breakthrough ater his debut against Man U.

Sims was excellent, especially his defensive work helping out the left back. Didn't get too much going forward, but then we were mostly playing on the break in the 2nd half, soaking up a lot of pressure from Chelsea.
-
as did Stephens, Gape, Little and Sims. Seager took his goal well. Good win, slightly fortunate that Chelsea kids can't shoot.

The English Marian Pahars...

Stephens in the team, so he's not going back out on loan. Gallagher not in the team, means the option is there for further loan. Good to see Fraser back, if he comes through will presumably be in contention for our 3 upcoming home games.

But we didn't. Life is full of ifs and maybes. No we are not in the relegation zone and won't be for a couple or so weeks at worst, doesn't mean anything, the only time it matters is at the end of match 38 of the season. Our current "slump" shows no signs of ending any time soon, while the increasingly fewer teams below us are mostly starting to put good runs together (as usual as the business end of the season gets nearer). At the moment we are probably relying on Newcastle and Swansea failing to catch us, OK they are both ****e as well, so maybe that's how we will survive, let's hope so (ignore Villa and Sunderland they are doomed). Hopefully we will get 6 points from our next 2 league games and things will look much better, but the prospect of that happening is not too bright at present, with team spirit in tatters and a lack of serious activity in the market. If Ronald can get another performance a la Arsenal out of the team then great, but why didn't he do so against Wet Sham or Norwich? Feel free to come back at me after the Baggies and Watford wins and say "told you so", I am sure you will and I will be very happy if it happens, just that I doubt it will.

Gallagher has made 15 appearances for MK, its not the same situation with him. He had issues with his "growth spurt" which meant he was not getting in the team. AFAIK Jack is fully grown :-) Gives us more options if as expected caulker and possibly Juanmi are gone, the bench last weekend looked very thin.
-
Are they available to boost the U21s tonight in the League Cup against Chelsea? Would be good for the U21s to get their cup defence off to a good start. Remember Sam's goal last season.

Good news, suggests that losing Caulker is not really an issue, with Florin close to being back and Stephens here now as well. Think Gardos is back earlier than expected, hope it works out for the guy. With Forster back in contention as well, good news (strange that Foster for WBA is back at about the same time and turned out for their u21s this week, expected back on Saturday, Forster has a fight on his hand with Foster to get back into England contention, behind Hart and Butland). Now all we need is J-Rod to be fit and well.
