Ladies and Gentlemen. The Award for the "worst performance by a team winning comfortably 2-0 at half time" goes to [drum roll] Southampton FC. That was absolutely shambolic, though not the first time we have been down this road. Whether Davis was subbed because he was carrying a knock or to allow Clasie to come on, the way we played from that point on was absolutely disgraceful (though no blame on Clasie). And as for the shocking performance between the sticks, well I hope I never see dear old Kelvin in a Saints shirt again. If he was a horse... If Gazza is not better than that shocking display then what is the point of keeping him either. At least he can kick. Still, I expect everyone will say how well Leicester battled back to get a point. Absolute ********. They were awful, but eventually the number of chances we gave them any team however bad would take a couple. And I haven't even mentioned Sadio Mane, what the hell was he doing today? Very good first half by the way. Thats what makes this sort of performance so unacceptable.

Feck whats happened to Stek? Our weakest position exposed again. Would rather Gazza to be honest than Captain Slow.
-
You're right of course, bit then JRod's injury was not a twist. He landed on it straight and it crumpled. That is the type of injury ee are seeing now in greater numbers. It could be partly down to the modern pitches having less give brvause of the way they are constructed.

There are singles still, but only in the Family section, which you can't purchase unless you have a kids ticket in your basket.
-
No. He is not right. Highly probable this would have happened to Danny sooner or later, unless he quit football. Injuries like this are more likely to be due to an inerent weakness. Dave In Sweden. 2 MLG 0

Sorry Whitey, but the second penalty shout against Chelsea was nailed on. Mane's foot was stamped on. And as for the first one when the Chelsea player tried to swap shirts with Virgil well, that was as nailed on as a nailed-on thing. BUT of course it takes the ref (or assistant) to see it to give it.

I checked on the OS match reports.
-
Yes, 1. Fonte and Pelle are currently on 3. He also travelled to Holland for the Ajax game.
-
I believe he was auditioning for the emergency keeper vacancy...
-
More likely he will not be available for Sunderland either. It is usually best to use the longer date, the short date is very optimistic. Even if he was only out for 2 weeks from now, he would need a week or so training to get back to full fitness. He must be a doubt for the Euro play-offs as they are 4 weeks away. If he has not played before them I doubt that Saints would release him or would strongly advise Ireland not to play him.
-
So everyone seems to be OK except for Shane Long, out for 2-4 weeks.
-
He's gone. Now plays for Man U. Was brilliant for us though. Get over it.
-
Why does someone have to be leaving, maybe the team is expanding, after all it is good to have 2 people for every position, helps with competition for places. There were adverts on OS a little while back for a couple of vacancies in this area.

Worked for me (or rather for my daughter) who exceptionally cannot make the game this Saturday and we have no-one to sell it to at this short notice (usually have a couple of mates that would take it) . Quite honestly, don't really care about the refund. The alternative is that the seat next to me would be empty, the club would not benefit from selling another ticket and making a few quid out of some merchandise/program/burger/beer that it would otherwise not have made, and so help reduce our loan to Kat. Won't make a jot of difference to whether we renew or not. My only concern is that I might have some fat, sweaty bloke sat next to me :-) I could have been selfish and left the seat empty, so that I could man spread :-)
-
Pelle missed reasonably easy chance. Should have had a hatful given he is up against Forren.
-
Don't really see the point of the Dutch calling up Stek. They now have 2 sub keepers on the bench.
-
Di ck van Dyke surely, playing as sweeper

Michael Owen: I am Southampton in racehorse owning terms
VectisSaint replied to Singapore Saint's topic in The Saints
I agree that he has a soft spot... -
We got into the original agreement when we were in the Football League - not sure if it was when we were in League One or Championship. It was initially for 3 years, it was discussed about changing when we were promoted to the PL, but it didn't happen and it looks like we extended the contract. Most (not all) of the PL teams who have been promoted in the last 4 or so years have the same agreement, none of the established PL teams use it as far as I can see.
-
Doubt it, the offence took place in March. Some time in court today, possibly oneprevious very short hearing. There were rumours a couple of weeks back about something like this. Was it this or another issue more recently?

Sam Gallagher - Joins Blackburn: Official
VectisSaint replied to Sergei Gotsmanov's topic in The Saints
He was still shockingly awful in some games early on. Players can be shockingly awful and still turn out to be very good. Some can be shockingly awful and stay that way, some can be brilliant and turn out to be shockingly awful. Unfortunately there are a few rather dim posters on here who don't seem to be able to grasp such a concept and spout rubbish about a player being brilliant even when he was at some times shockingly awful. -
Matthews?

Michael Owen: I am Southampton in racehorse owning terms

We don't need (want) him to be the Southampton of horse racing. We already have one who is better, been at it for many more years than Michael ****ing Owen, and Southampton related, thank you. -

Not sure if you are agreeing with me or not, or whether you think kit is available more generally. I did forget Oxford Street, but otherwise as I said, it is only available in Southampton area JD Sports outlets (includes Eastleigh), Isle of Wight and Gatwick (and Oxford Street). It is not available in any other JD Sports outlets unless this has been changed since. This is the news item from the OS: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/20150702-201516-home-kit-launch-friday-2521966.aspx and the relevant extract: There’s also some good news for supporters located away from Southampton as, for the first time, select branches** of JD Sports – including at Gatwick Airport and on London’s Oxford Street – will be stocking Saints’ home kit. **Newport (Isle of Wight), London Oxford Street, Gatwick Airport (South Terminal Departures), Eastleigh, Southampton West Quay Road, Southampton Above Bar
