Today there was a camera on the Kingsland touchline near the Chapel facing down towards the Northam. Never seen one there before but then today was a different OB company. The now usual camera in the Itchen/Chapel corner was not deployed today.

I would like to know how many shots and saves. The ratio is very good (although the worst is apparently Begovic with 53%), but these stats never reveal the true numbers. There have been so few shots for Forster to actually save so far it is really hard to judge how good he is. It was similar with Boruc last season, the outfielders are very effective and denying our opponents goal scoring opportunities in the first place. Did Forster save twice against Sunderland, I can only remember two saves? 75% suggests it is actually 15 saved out of 20 (given that we have conceded just 5 times). So that's 2.5 shots per match, which is remarkable if true (remarkable that we have limited teams to 2 or 3 shots per match).

I do, but in this instance they seem to have come to a perfectly reasonable outcome. Fined both teams, punished Serbia by having to play 2 games behind closed doors (except for UEFA sponsors LOL), removed any points advantage and avoided a replay of a match that could not in all honesty have been properly replayed. Not sure what else they could have achieved, except for expelling them from the competition. Really don't think GD would be a serious issue. The return match in Albania will be interesting and probably not very comfortable for the Serb players, Tadic included. What UEFA should have done before the tournament started was made sure these two teams were not in the same group, its been done many times before.

Two home games on successive weekends at the end of a month doesn't help.

A tie in cricket is when both teams score the same number of runs. As far as I know cricket is not American.

Extraordinary the things that some people think are Americanisms. "Tie" is a term that is very specific to UK sports. I've been going to cup ties for more than 50 years. Are you one of the many that thinks "soccer" is an Americanism as well.

Fair play to the guy, glad he enjoyed the day, but "superfan" and first game at age 30. I know others that have come across from Oz on more than one occasion, I guess he just lucked out that we won 8-0. I am so glad that the Mail decided to include a map showing where Melbourne is and the big arrow showing it to be 9500 miles. Don't give a toss about your sanity, if you can't deal with people having a different opinion than yours then don't come on here. Don't agree with Graham Poll, but there he may be a more experienced ex-referee than me, but in my opinion he is incorrect. In my opinion and many others, it was not a penalty, and everyone seems to agree it shouldn't have been a red card. Fletcher had already played the ball (and it was going wide). Forster did not clatter into Fletcher, Poll is completely wrong on that. The fact that Fletcher did not appeal speaks volumes to me. He knew it wasn't a penalty.

It wasn't a penalty because fletcher had already played the ball (and flicked it wide) before he was caught. The commentator (Jonathan ?)on MOTD actually got this right, and he was about the only one who did, fair play. Mind you just about everything else he said was crap, including the reference to the Man U game when he claimed the 6-3 win was the grey shirts one.

My memory is all due to Fitzhugh Fella. It was the season before my first game - glory hunter once we got to the 1st division, been waiting for the glory ever since :-) Brought in as a replacement for Campbell Forsyth when he broke his leg. In an era when playing with a Scottish goalkeeper was considered akin to playing with 10 men we played three different Scots in the one season, Forsyth, MacLaren and the great Eric Martin.

One of the clearest own goals ever, I really don't know what some people on here are on. The keeper saved the initial shot. It squirmed out from him and the defender took the ball forward and then got the ball caught up in his feet and put the ball back over the line. Comedy defending by Bridcutt.

Nope, have no sense of anything that you are apparently seeing. His distribution is fine, his tenacity yesterday to win the ball three times in one on ones to get the ball upfield was something else. He is also good at getting forward from the back and starting moves from midfield. The only place where I see him not being particularly effective is in the opponent's penalty area, one area where we have not been so good so far this year is our CBs getting goals,,but its early days. Very impressed with Toby so far, we will see how good he is if/when Jose misses a game or two and Toby plays on the right with either Maya or Florin.
