  1. Have to agree with you Alpine. Some people here are quoting how long it takes to emigrate from the UK to countries such as US, South Africa and so on. Totally irrelevant IMHO, and some of them are so bureaucratic that it is true, it can take a long time to get sorted (though I never had any trouble getting into either personally, it was all arranged in a couple of days or so, admittedly now 10+ years ago in both cases). Getting into the UK is about as simple as it can be. After all most of the country is continually moaning about how simple it is for migrants to enter the country. Well it is even easier if you have all the relevant paper work (work permit) already in hand and on top of that you are a professional sportsman. I have no idea whether this deal has gone wrong or not, but just feel something is not right, there is no need for such a delay. I'm not talking about whether he is available to play tomorrow or not, that's irrelevant, he probably would not be ready anyway. I do hope to see T Lee here very soon, and I think he will be a good addition, but just detect a faint whiff of rat somewhere.
  2. Try looking at the first 3 posts on this thread. If you don't think that would get you the sack, try it yourself (of course whether your boss would read what you had written on Twitter is a moot point). I would guess that NC has more sense and better things to do than to read Twitter, but I suspect it will be brought to his attention at some point. Sadly professional footballers have more protection than your average worker.
  3. If an offer comes in from West Ham, Cardiff or Birmingham snap it up immediately. Let them have the disruptive little arsehole around their camp, and see the damage it does. JP is not a player anyone should fear, he has not played more than a handful of decent games in the last 2 years, flatters to deceive even when he does play. I hate players like him, they are all that is wrong with professional football these days. Still a fine of 2 weeks wages for each tweet (or **** or whatever that scumbag social networking site is called) will help to reduce our loss.
  4. Wasn't it last week? Already sorted anyway, we have already played all of the botom 3 away and beaten 2 of them. We've also played 2 more of the bottom 6 away, only Millwall of the bottom 6 still to play away, and we've got them next week in the Cup. So, by your reckoning we are home and hosed.
  5. That would have been when they were still playing in the Europa Noddy Cup. Basing your views on one game is very dangerous. Apparently they are playing poorly, so poorly that they have scored 9 in 2. They are on a good run, and currently have the squad to maintain it. They are clearly not the worst side in the division, at the moment they are probably the 2nd best (behind us).
  6. And it wouldn't do us much good either. Brum are a bigger threat than Cardiff imho, unless a few of their players go in the next 10 days (which I doubt).
  7. It would have been embarrassing if he was there considering his loan spell ended in December. HE IS NOT AT BROMLEY ANY MORE!!!!!
  8. Sorry, but you should not discount Birmingham. If you think 7 points behind is too far then you are naive. In my view the top 3 will be us, West Ham and Brum at the end of the season. But I agree that we will win it.
  9. His loan deal was for 3 months from 23 Sep 2011. Therefore have to assume he is no longer at Bromley, but back with us. Looking at our OS there is not even mention of him going to Bromley, but he is not listed as on loan. Bromley have a new loan keeper as well, Lloyd Anderson.
  10. Rubbish, in any other business it can be done in a week, two at most. And for international sports people, things can be much quicker. People seem to think that if he comes over here, that he somehow can't go back in just over 3 months when there is a 2 month break to finally put things in order, he is not emigrating, just making a working visit for a number of years. All the paper work for him to come to this country is already in place (his work permit). Living out of a suitcase for 3 months is not really any great hardship is it when you are on £20k per week.
  11. Any idea how long you are going to continue to trot out this tedious response to just about anything. It didn't happen, get over it. Hoddle may or may not have saved us, there is nothing that can be done to prove one way or another, but the reality of Glenda is that without Gorman he is not the messiah you and others seem to believe. Look at it another way, if Glenda had saved us we would probably still be under the stewardship of Lowe, Hoddle would have left soon after when a better offer came along and we would now probably be in lower Championship level (17th maybe) without much hope of investment or promotion. I know where I would rather we were, top of the League (or at least in the Top 2) with NC and the legacy of Markus Liebherr, rather than the legacy of Lowe.
  12. Nope, it is factually wrong, and ignores when we were runners-up during the 27 years that we were in the top flight (for the second time). Here is the whole sentence: "This came as a huge blow to a club that had graced the top flight for 27 straight years, finishing as high as eighth and reaching the FA Cup Final (where they lost to Arsenal) just two years earlier in 2003."
  13. A week. Happens all the time, work ask if you can go away to customer site for 4 months, flight booked on the plane within a week. He's not having to leave Japan for good, he will be allowed back in. Come May on the plane back home and make any longer term arrangements. I just don't buy this idea it takes weeks and that maybe something is not right (or maybe not).
  14. Yes. I'm not ITK, but I get a sense of lack of activity, since the news that the work permit was granted. OK, so he went back to Japan, but given he had been over here training it just seems a bit of a long time, and there has been no mention of him for a few days. Maybe just getting a little paranoid.
  15. Doesn't seem to be much hope of Lee being involved on Monday, at least from what the OS says. It suggests Yago might be involved but no mention of Tadanari, so looks like he won't be back for a while yet. Odd really.
  16. Hopefully not as lazy as raziac.
  17. Brum are the biggest threat. Now they are out of the European Noddy Cup they are focused on the League, and will only be 7 points off if they win their game in hand. Cardiff and Boro will blow it (maybe Boro have already burst, were always going to struggle with their inability to score, signing LJ will not materially improve this IMHO).
  18. Oh dear, if you are going to have a slanging match with someone at least don't make yourself look a tit. You do know that Scott McDonald is Australian and used to play for Saints, you do, don't you?
  19. The 3rd all-time top scorer also went to Boro, but couldn't even get in our team before he went north of the border. You are living on past glories, Celtic and Rangers will never compete at the top level in Europe again unless they join the PL (thats the Premier League not the spl).
  20. Lennon's 35 mill is being taken out of context, it was just an off the cuff remark, it is not a valuation by the Club. The factors that may bring Hooper to Saints have little or nothing to do with the SPL or Celtic. More likely he is interested in the move because of (a) his past association with Adkins and (b) the chance next season to play in the PL and perhaps further his possible international career. Playing in Europe for Celtic is not guaranteed and even if they do qualify, they have little hope of being successful, Celtic won the European Cup in 1967, the chance of that ever happening again is about as likely as me playing up front alongside RL (or GH). Maybe Jos and Barney have been having a few words with their old team mate as well, although in Barney's case it would seem that Hoopers arrival would mean the departure of Barnard.
  21. Played 33 minutes yesterday, didn't score, obviously would have been a waste of money, not good enough for us
  22. Based on average attendance, they are 12th in Europe, 3rd in UK (behind Manure and Arse). 48968 last season. To put this in perspective our average home attendance so far this season would have put us 59th in Europe last season.
  23. Good to see the Celtic shirts at the exit of the tunnel before the game, must mean Hooper is on his way
  24. I'm gonna say something controversial here - c'mon you 10 Skate Bastards
