  1. FootballAgent46 Football Agent Southampton going to be my tip for promotion from Championship. Jungle drums tell me massive bid been thrown in by them for more players
  2. Just seen this on another forum from last season's league fixtures:
  3. Agree with this.
  4. Sounds like we're a while away before that develops. Looks like we're going to be starting that donkey Seaborne vs Leeds.
  5. Not really a big fan of SMS, its too boring and doesn't have a unique feel due to it being similar to Leicester's, Derby's, Darlington's, Middlesbrough etc... Some games that spring to mind in the last 10 years though: Saints 1-0 Man Utd - From memory we dominated this game, usually when that happens vs Man Utd they get the lucky last minute winner, but not this time! Saints 2-0 Pompey - Carling Cup, my first experience of a South Coast derby, loved it. Saints 3-0 Pompey - Great scenes when Marian scored. Saints 4-3 Norwich - What a game, shame it didn't mean anything in the end. Saints 4-3 Birmingham - Yet another great game. We tore them a new one in the first half but took our foot off the gas. My heart skipped a beat when a Birmingham player headed over Davis with the last kick of the game, thankfully it landed on top of the net though. Saints 3-2 Sheffield United - Great atmosphere and a good end to what was a very disappointing season. Saints 1-2 Sheffield United - 13,000 crowd and we dominated the game - thought we had got something in the last minute only for SU to score again. The ground quickly emptied, seemed like the only way was down. Saints 2-2 Burnley - Terrible day, beginning life in league one with minus 10 was confirmed and I felt like all hope on finding a new owner had gone. Saints 5-0 Huddersfield - One of the best performances I can remember at St. Mary's in recent years, we were fantastic that night. Saints 3-1 MK Dons - JPT, great atmosphere that night. 90% of the Northam Stand was packed with Saints fans, all standing and chanting. Saints 1-2 Man Utd - Chaplow's goal and the confidence from the lads. We played great for the majority of that match but sadly the lads tired. Saints 4-1 Huddersfield - Probably our best home performance of the season last season, after a 10 minute spell where it could have been 3-3 we contained them and tore them a new one. Saints 3-2 MK Dons - Lost hope of promotion after they scored their 2nd, only for Forte to shut me up. Barnard's finish sent the crowd crazy and the last 5 minutes of MK Dons hitting the ball into our box was a nightmare. Saints 3-1 Walsall - Fantastic atmosphere from both sets of fans and good scenes at the end.
  6. Probably waiting for the home game vs Pompey...
  7. 22,000 is very poor considering over 3,000 Leeds fans will be in attendance. It shouldn't matter if its on Tele, the kick off time is decent and could have been worse.
  8. Mate just sent me a text to say De Ridder looked average. Might make those who were jumping to conclusions wait a couple of matches until they make a proper judgement.
  9. Listening to that Brighton game on the Radio was so frustrating as we had the majority of the chances yet found ourselves 1 down. When Lambert hit the post I had a feeling it wasn't going to be our day. My Dad remained confident and said Connolly would score in the next few minutes, straight after he walked into the kitchen he's scored! Rushed down the stairs to tell him due to Sky Sports being slightly slow, he replied we will get another. Radio Solent: "Ball into the box, Fonte's header, IT'S GONE IN - SOUTHAMPTON HAVE SCORED IN THE FINAL MINUTES!!!!" - I can't remember ever going so nuts for a goal while listening on the Radio. The next five minutes were very nervy but what a feeling it was to be a Saints fan after that, would have loved to been there. MK Dons is another best moment, I was questioning Adkins ability with subs when Forte came on and I was silenced within 4 minutes. The scene's around St. Mary's when Barnard scored were fantastic although the last 5 minutes almost killed me, even thinking back to the cheer from the home fans when Barnard was fouled by the corner flag in the last minute sends a chill down the spin. I had almost forgotten about the Davis penalty save vs Brighton, but what a fantastic moment. I'm not Kelvin's biggest fan, but I knew he would save it the moment Woods stepped up. Great scenes. Great season, surprised a Season Review DVD was never released by the club considering the amount of disappointing seasons we've had since 03!
  10. People with Saints Player can listen to the game through WBA Player.
  11. We certainly came close when we played Leyton Orient away both times in League One.
  12. He made 42 appearances and scored 3 goals for QPR last season.
  13. But with Bristol Rovers he always said he wanted to challenge himself at the next level.
  14. That is actually against Derby in the play offs. Anyway, pfc123 - You can say that 6,000 is a disgrace because your massive club manager 19,000 vs Chelsea (even though 10,000 were probably there to watch Chelsea) but let's talk about your season ticket sales: You've managed to sale around 8,000 season tickets in around four months, whereas we've probably managed around 14,000 in just three weeks. Can you argue against that? No. Now lets talk about your attendances last season: You managed to average a **** poor 15,000, I suspect the home average is nearer to 13,000 considering you had Millwall, Forest, Norwich, Reading, Leeds, QPR, Cardiff, Palace, Swansea all taking a big away following to your shed. We managed 22,000 in League One (20,000 the season before with 10 point deduction). Just over 1,000 was the average figure for away fans at St. Mary's last season so we didn't have the benefit of big away crowds like you did.
  15. Team for Athletico: Forecast Richardson Jaidi Martin Dickson Holmes Schneiderlin Chaplow Forte Barnard Doble No Lambert today then, injured?
  16. Looks great. Well done JustMike.
  17. Youtube makes BWP look great.
  18. I bet this information turns out to be false.
  19. Had a go, not a fan of it:
  20. Wouldn't mind a yellow and blue shirt similar to the home one:
  21. The Umbro badge looks awful on it, would look better if it was black.
  22. I think all the listed players in that comment would compete for a space in each squad in this league but there is no way they would walk into every team in this league.
  23. Another funny quote from a Pompey forum:
  24. Cracking header from Ben Haim. Quote before the game that made me laugh from a Pompey forum:
