I remember that, its Chris Taylor from The Chasers, it was staged however, it never actually appeared on Sunrise. Still funny though. This was at a time when he was actually a decent comedian. Shame he lost the plot on that 'make a wish' skit For all those that have seen it.

For goodness sake if people are so sick of the standard of reffing will you walk down to your local association and become a ref, hence increasing the pool of refs and resulting in a better standard in the upper leagues. Why oh why oh why are you using a match that doesn't involve saints to have a blast at refs, don't you think they get enough **** as it is?

Don't think it'll be pretty but reckon it'll be 2-1 Saints, with us holding on for dear life at the end but hanging on to the win.It'll be nervy and I don't think my heart/doctor will be too happy with this but a scrappy win will do me fine.

Whilst I appreciate the sentiment I think Oporto's is only slightly above average, mind you I don't really eat burgers, can't go wrong with a big dirty kebab

I think here we have a slight microcosm of the problem in that there is no consensual agreement to bring up children, as shown here by some believing that violent acts is the answer and others saying a good word is the answer. I'm not a parent so am not very educated is these issues but are there many parental advice classes easily accessible? My two pennies is that maybe, if the parents themselves can not teach a kid right or wrong because they themselves have little knowledge of the subject, a teacher can become a parental figure for that child. Today that is becoming nearly impossible for that real strong teacher/ young child relationship as the teacher's social integrity seems to be questioned.

ok everyone who is criticizing the ref, could you please take a walk down to your local association and ask to take the course and become a ref. With more refs the standard would improve as the pool would be larger. And as a side point I'm guessing that most of these posters give a load of **** to refs down at your local games. This causes most refs to quit, minimising the pool and robbing us of some really talented refs. I as an example needed to take this season off because of the amount of incorrect **** I got.and of the 30 of us that joined our association 4 years ago only 12 remain.

Perhaps it reflects more poorly on you that you don't know the rules rather then the officials. The rule was adjusted a couple of years ago that you need to stand a metre back from the the thrower so, and I'll try to say this politely, if you want to complain about the ref, learn the rules yourself so you have a right to complain.

No that rule was adjusted a couple of years ago, you now have to stand one metre back.

So basically even if we had a quality youngster amongst us, say another Walcott (I'm not saying we do) you still wouldn't play him basically. I remember our team of profesionals under Burley... don't remember too many people being overly happy with their work effort.
