    Pelle

'Twas a stunning strike. Glad Caulker didn't make more of a meal of it though. And good as it was, I thought Jagielkas was the best of the days strikes, purely because it was so unexpected from a defender.
  2. Alan Green. And I, too, thought it was poor commentary.
  3. I enjoyed that, my first game of the season, but it wasn't good for the old nerves. We should have capitalised on more of our chances and QPR were a whisker away from an equaliser. But like the Swansea win, these are the kind of games we'd have been drawing in the past. Mané looked good, but I hope there's more to come from him. I'm surprised so many people went for Pellé as MOTM though, as worldy aside I thought he was quiet in parts. Wanyama was heading for my MOTM until his substitution as he was winning everything in the first half but overall I thought Steven Davis was brilliant all game, and could quite possibly have scored a brace. Overall, happy with the win, six wins in six. Bring on Spurs.
  4. None of us predicted this...
  5. I'd take a draw too. Unbeaten run continues. Morgan with a brace.
  6. I'm at the game. We're better but got to be careful. Patience. Wanyama bossing it.
  7. Shane Long hat trick. Instant hero.
  8. Goals from right backs stick in my mind. There was Wayne Thomas's against Ipswich in the cup, that was a corker, and for some reason I remember a Jason Dodd screamer he scored with his left foot (iirc) though I forget against who. Then there's Golacs, though I'm too young for that. Clyne's was top class though.
  9. I agree to a point, but footballers want to play for their National teams. If he continues not to be recognised playing for Saints, it's possible he may want a move to a club where you only have to fart in the changing room to get a call up. Of course it's a vicious circle, as International recognition and good form prompt bigger clubs as to their class.
  10. What's the plural of Judas? Judases? judai? Judy? Judaseseseseseseses? My worry is they might have Charlie bloody Austin in attack.
  11. The first game I'm managing to get to this season, which means we'll completely ditch our attacking flair, play Gazzaniga in goal, Isgrove in defence, and get 4 red cards, a biased ref that loves QPR, and get spanked 6-0. Or we'll win, whatever.
  12. I'd have Bale back for the money we sold him for! And possibly Ox-C and Walcott. But of the summer lot? No, ta. I like the look of their replacements.
  13. I'll be wetting the bed tonight, but it won't be with urine...
  14. Sounds weird, but I'd rather play those two in the earlier rounds while they're playing their reserves/youth. If they get to the semis there's a chance they'll start putting their first teams out just to win a bit of silver wear they have little interest in.
  15. Tomorrow night on the Beeb.
  16. Who'd have thought it, a Premier League team playing a near full team actually progressing in the League Cup! If Koeman's priority is the cups, he's sure going the right way about it! Lovely win despite the missed chances, and a lovely goal from Clyne. Hodgson you blind bastard, wtf does Nathaniel have to do to get some recognition? Through to to the last 16. 4 matches to win guys, 4 matches to win....
  17. Do we need her?
  18. Be nicer to win it. It's built into us as Saints fans from our past that we are worrying about Arsenal scoring again. Come on Saints, prove to us you've changed! Everton conceded 3 again...
  19. Cazorla on. He's got a goal in him...
  20. SSN are slow... Just realised I've had it on Pause. #embarrassing
  21. :-D
  22. I thought that. Hope he doesn't hit them all like that.
  23. I like that Sky Sports News has the highlights of the goals as soon as they're scored!
  24. So Tadic is our new penalty taker then!
  25. Mané you ledge. TADIC! :-)
