For the win!
-
Come on Saints FFS!
-
Ooh Osvaldo to Lallana, touch let him down...
-
Unlucky for Lambert. (Wasn't a handball from Collins though...) Looking more fluid this half so far...
-
Hit the post! Surely a handball...
-
I reckon we'll blitz this half and win 3-0 with a scintillating display. We'll click! Wanyama late back on the pitch. Was he "doing a Puncheon"? Or perhaps he made a pass at a woman in the dressing room which missed its target... :-D
-
Need more quality in the second half. Ramirez?
-
Aside from setting up the Osvaldo chance, he's been very quiet. Lallana too has had a quiet game so far. Agree. He looks class. Great touch and vision. Needs to make it count though. Wanyama is a shire horse, all work rate and strength but little technique. He has got a bit better as the game's gone on. COME ON SAINTS. This first half has gone quick.
-
Ward-Prowse, Ramirez, Guly and Davis on the bench is encouraging. One goal either way could win this game...
-
Osvaldo definitely has quality. Hope he can score soon though, he doesn't want that burden over his head for too long...
-
Corner. COYR

I wonder how much more composed we'd look had that Osvaldo shot gone in. Still looking a little nervous. Shaw looks our best player so far, closely followed by Lovren IMO.
-
Definitely needs a bit of work. Still young though, still time, but for £12 million you think he's have a bit of it already! If we can mold Kenwyne Jones into a striker... ;-)
-
Sloppy ball from Morgan. Well won Dani, good work.
-
Luke Shaw has good strength. Didn't look like he should have won that ball but he did.
-
Wanyama's close control hasn't been brilliant so far. Saints are pressing now though.
-
Great save from Jussi from Osvaldo. Should've scored there. Good work JRod.
-
West Ham pressing. They're working hard.
-
Good noise from the crowd!
-
COME ON YOU REDS!!! A good chance for 3 points if we want to finish higher than last season, but we must be patient and composed. A good performance will hopefully see us get the result we desire. West Ham are a dangerous team though, some good players in there...
-
Wayne Thomas against Ipswich in the FA Cup. Ok, perhaps not the best, but it gets a mention because of its unexpectedness. We yelled "shoot", he did, and it was a cracker.
-
Surely Stern John and Rasiak or Saganowski played together in our lower league days, which wouldn't make this phenomenon as good as it sounds. (Albeit with higher profile countries now.) Question for MLG I reckon!
-
I'll raise that, and bet my bank account savings, an entire collection of my wife's porcelain penguins, and two much beaten parrots that Southampton's First XI won't win on Saturday. :-) The deal expires at midnight though, Sunday is a brand new day. :-p

Good for him if true. Another attacking option, perhaps our weakest area (IMO), can only be a good thing. As long as he's clear of injuries and willing to work hard for the team, I can't see this as being a bad thing. Perhaps he's seen how Yoshida has got on last season, and wanted a slice for himself. I can't see him being used a lot, but as a squad choice he's better than some. As for Sharp? I'm not sure an out and out striker will find game time, with Osvaldo and Rickie in front of him. It does seem weird we let Mayuka go though, perhaps this was in the knowledge we had Lee or Sharp available for selection...
-
I actually like that, but no Lallana? I know not everyone can play but he's captain and has probably been our best attacking outlet this season. Either bring him in for JRod or Cork (sorry Corky) and that would be a good team. (It's good as it is, just a little lacking in creativity...) SHould win this game but I can see us drawing it. 1-1, although winning it will be a measure of how far we've come since promotion in comparison to West Ham. They were better than us last year, because they had a lot of Premier League experienced players, and added to that with more Premier League experienced players. Our players now have Premier League experience and, are quite frankly, better than theirs. I'm still going for the draw but am half expecting a win.
