If a team announced that one of their players suddenly became available, and Pochettino and Cortese wanted that player, then I would expect they'd very quickly move to capture them, meaning very little media speculation. However it seems to be the Premier League way that everything gets published or announced before it happens. That said, if there's any Premier League chairman that could keep a transfer quiet, I'd put money on it being Cortese.

And a Knighthood for Murray no doubt.

A tennis player's nationality doesn't bother me, although I'm not a fan of Andy Murray as a person. If Rusedski had won Wimbledon I'd still have gone bat sh!t mental. That said, had Henman won Wimbledon, I think I'd have felt more pride than Murray winning it. Next? A player born and raised in SW19 winning it. Will it ever happen?

That may be because we're now in a position to challenge other big clubs for transfers whereas in the climb up the leagues with Adkins we could have been easily usurped. The change of management thing does ring truer though. I do hope we bring one more attacking midfielder or winger in. Hopefully the Bueno/Stoch rumours aren't completely dead in the water. We looked a bit lightweight attacking-wise when Punch dropped out of favour at the tail end of last season and Lallana was out of form. Then Ramirez went and got suspended. Definitely room for another attacking midfielder IMO.
