  1. Bugger - how do I turn the child locks off? :-D The last S Club 7 member I saw was Jon, in Jersey Boys a couple of weeks ago. He was a very good Frankie Valli. Not boneable though, as I'm not ghey. My favourite would be Daisy Evans, but baldy old Jonjo Shelvey is tapping that, so I'm going to go to Stacey MacClean for my fill of Sclub Love.
  2. Don't forget PinkScarf. Her support of Lee Barnard was legendary. I wish I had a lady supporting me like that... ...wife doesn't count.
  3. This. We're relying heavily on Lallana - and as class as he is, that means we have to hope he stays fit.
  4. Agree. I would've travelled down for this game, but late on a Saturday and on Sky? I can watch it from the pub as a prelude to my night out.
  5. I go with pretty much what everyone else is thinking - winnable game but one we could easily mess up in. Keep as we've been doing - solid defensively and hoping for a spark to get a goal up front. 2-0 my prediction, similar team with perhaps a tiny bit of rotation up front.

    Osvaldo

I like what I see of Osvaldo, and am convinced he'll come good. His flicks, his touches, they're a class above. I do think he's trying too hard at the moment, but he has to - a place at the World Cup as Italy's main striker is under threat - and this perhaps is the main reason I believe he'll come good. 3 "lesser" teams coming up - a chance for him to fill his boots?
  7. A good draw so late in the game. At Old Trafford makes it even more special too. Have a look at the next 3 games: Fulham at home, Stoke away, and Hull at home. Potential for 9 points there? :-D
  8. Agree about Johnson being first choice, and Jones or Smalling as versatile 3rd choices (especially in a reduced tournament squad) but I think Clyne could battle it out with Walker for the second choice spot. Clyne has proved he can play left back too, so he's versatile in that department too, and I rate him as better defensively than Walker too. It could happen, but he'd need to be consistantly brilliant all season. I hope Hodgson has one of those friendlies where fringe players get picked so he can have a look at everyone. (Similar to the MLT England friendly when he scored a hattrick before World Cup 98. (...and never got picked...)
  9. NewcastlevLiverpool 12:45 ArsenalvNorwich 15:00 ChelseavCardiff 15:00 EvertonvHull 15:00 Man UtdvSouthampton 15:00 StokevWest Brom 15:00 SwanseavSunderland 15:00 West HamvMan City 17:30 I see those as being (in order) Away win, Home win, Home win, Home win, Home Win, Draw, Draw, and the toughest to choose is WHam vs City. Probably Away win there. I was awfully close to getting them right the other week, sadly I haven't put a bet on today and won't make the Ladbrokes website by the time I finish work at 3. Hey ho. Will probably win nowt anyway.
  10. The Sun will probably make a deal out of it... His passing aside, I've been very impressed with what I've seen of Victor so far. There's definitely more to come. Celtic molded him into a good player, we now need to mold him into a world class player, which means working on his passing. I know Cork has his admirers on here, but there's a reason we've only conceded twice this season, and the two defensive signings in the summer are a big part of that. Anyone know if McDonald is any good?
  11. He looks like Jerwayne from Phone Shop with that hat on...
  12. What do you do if your defence is shipping goals? Stick a Cork in it! But it's not, so we must be doing something right without him. Good squad back up though.
  13. It's there, scroll to the right. That's all wrong anyway. Everywhere should be coloured red... :-(
  14. I was surprised he got called up in the first place - but he did make the most of it. The trouble is it was at a time when England were short on strikers through injury, but even then I'm surprised Rickie started ahead of Defoe, and in-form players like Agbonlahor haven't been picked. IF Rickie can have a good season for us, and when I say good I mean goal-scoring, playing regularly good, then he has a chance. Otherwise, sadly, there's more chance of Lallana, Shaw or Clyne surprising us by going to Brazil.
  15. Jordan Turnbull has a squishy face. If I may be so bold as to say. If it isn't racist. Or facist. Or whatever nonsense the PC brigade may have me up on.
  16. Ward-Prowse, Isgrove, Rowe? Our aim is to have half the team made up of academy players - unless we bring our own youngsters through and give them a chance in the first team, this aim won't be realised. Bringing in Zaha on loan blocks the path for one of these lads to try to make a first team spot their own. Ward-Prowse may not be the same type of player admittedly, but he's shown that bringing academy players through is viable if they're good enough. I'd rather give Ward-Prowse a regular spot in the first team than bringing in Zaha on loan. While I do think we lack creativity as a team, the youngsters could be the answer to that problem. Hopefully we keep trying them out in cup matches to see how their progress as footballers is coming along.
  17. I wondered where this bad boy got it from. Incidentally, I reckon Noah was from Portsmouth, and had a diddle with the carp - which is how we got mermen and mermaids of modern times.
  18. Worst exit from a carp ark was when a biblical flood killed them all.
  19. Come to think of it, I've already got a mug I dip my penis into... ...she married me.
  20. I'm going to take Zrub mi loda as "Give me Ice Cream" and use it on a Polish girl working in Ben and Jerry's.
  21. Without reading the responses to this, I would have to say an England win. Now in the past I've ranted that I'm a Saints fan first and an England fan a very distant second, but winning tomorrow and qualifying for the World Cup would be huge for England, and will give us all something to look forward to next summer. It's still early in the season (for Saints) and a loss against Man Utd is no big deal. It's a question of timing. If Man Utd vs Saints was the last game of the season, and we needed a win to qualify for the Champions League or something, then of course I would pick a Saints win. In this context though, at this time of the season, an England win tomorrow is paramount.
  22. Would I take him? No. We should be nurturing our own youngsters, not borrowing Uniteds, making them better and sending them back. Buy - Hell yes. Loan? Hell no.
  23. Out of sheer need to know, I used that on translate, and got "Give me Ice Cream". From the context of the post, I suggest this is not the correct translation...
  24. If we can get the same money we paid for him, and are willing to go out and sign a better replacement in January, I'm all for it. But we're lacking in creativity as it is. I personally think Ramirez just needs a run in the team. I'm all for sentiment but I feel we should be playing Osvaldo OR Lambert, not both, and not let sentiment get in the way if it's Lambert that is dropped. Ramirez and Osvaldo working together at their best up front? Now THAT sounds good. Will we ever see it? Doubtful, but there's always hope.
  25. Soon rhymes with c*on, which I'm led to believe is a racist term. Naughty boy.
