I'd pay £20k to the Skates to play ten minutes, then bang in as many own goals as I could. (I see Macclesfield have pulled out of that deal with egg on their faces...)

Having been out the loop a while and reading about this potential transfer, from what I gather it's broken down currently because the agent of Wanyama wants £1 million quid. I know we don't bow down easily to agents, as per the other agent thread, but would we really throw away the transfer of a player we undoubtedly want over £1million?

Hola Amigos. Back from my Mexican honeymoon and I'm wondering when the next freaking signing is coming along as I missed the last one! All that excitement of the Lovren transfer...gone. I'd have traded Mexican paradise for that. (Maybe not.) Reading through other transfers from other teams, others that stick out in England are: Royston Drenthe to Reading - cracking signing that - and Bridge too - Adkins could do well there. Dale Jennings to Barnsley - another class signing, and cheap too. Curtis Davis to Hull - will be solid for them Elliot Ward to Bournemouth - wasn't long ago we nearly signed him - spooky when you think about it. Olly Lancashire to Rochdale - lol and of course Dejan Lovren to Saints! (I had to read a bit about him, but I'm now convinced this is a good signing in an area that needed strenghtening.)

George Weah JR. is available. For jokes, of course, bear jokes. Chris at GWC.com would love that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Weah_Jr

Palace at home. Start with a bang.

How do you follow the Saints when you're not in Southampton
SNSUN replied to aussiesaint20's topic in The Saints
Fortunately I've rarely been abroad when Saints have been playing. Most touristy resorts now at least have football on the big TV's, so it's easier to watch a game when away. In Paphos when we played Derby in the nPC I simply found somewhere that did it - it attracted more than one Saints fan too! We get everywhere. I'm off to Mexico on Wednesday for my honeymoon/first anniversary and my intention is to give myself a complete media blackout - no phone, no internet, no newspapers. I'm sure that won't last - I'll crave any news of Saints signings... -
Clyne's dropped today. Ok he played badly the other day, but he's still the U21's best option at right back...
-
He has been very ill apparently which is why he's not featured in the last year and a half, but by all accounts is a natural goalscorer, had a great spell at Feyenoord and is still young. If he's recovered from his illness, and can get back to his best, it would be a great signing. But I do think City have him pegged as a future starter for them though.

No thanks, and I maintain that we need a good, if not first choice, left back to fully challenge Shaw for the spot. The challenge is good, it's a long season with a lot of chance for rotation, and we've already seen the niggling injuries Shaw picks up from time to time.

If you squint, he looks a bit like Tony Yeboah.

Interesting - riding the massive phallic tower whilst bear butted...

That all makes my stag do sound rather tame. None of my mates wanted to do anything to me (too much ****ing respect I reckon) so in the end I got bored and chucked myself in a fountain. I need new mates. Ooh one challenge for you Tokee-ho is to get your mate to get a girls knickers off her, the fatter the bird the better, then when he finally finds a willing subject, get him to sniff the knickers and tell her that she has a yeast infection. Then proceed to throw the pants at a DJ/barman. That could be lolage. (and is probably nearly impossible, but try it anyway.)

HT. Better second half please.
-
Insigne does look very good. Italy could go far in this tournament. Ref's on our side though! :-)
-
Jonjo Shelvey looks shyte. Mind you Clyne's not covered himself in glory yet either. Would Shaw be first choice left back I wonder? ooh close by Jason Lowe of Blackburn. (That's Blackburn that struggled at the bottom of the nPC all season.)
-
I'll be the first to say it tonight - Nathan Redmond CDAJFU. Young, English, skilful, at a lower league team and probably affordable.
-
Mark Hughes is the new manager - I assume Butland will be picked to play up front. (This poor joke was brought to you in association with crap Football Managers.com)
-
Clyne nearly muffs up with an own goal - I'd put that down as Butland's fault. Glad we never signed him. Good luck plucking the ball out of the air at Stoke. ****.
-
Jonjo Shelvey is proper bald. I mean like Richard Chaplow-type bald.
-
I reckon the England U21's would give the full England team a run for their money. :-)
-
Bidding for a player they had 0.01% chance of getting gets them newspaper headlines and pleases the fans. Still, I suppose if you don't try, you don't get. I fancy Saints to bid £30 million for Messi.

Wot No Stoke? ;-)

Clearly trying to push Carroll into a decision...

3 shifts left, then free from work from Friday through until Tuesday 2nd July! Off to Mexico during that, and the rest of the time I'll be glues to SSN for transfer updates. Oh, and drinking. Lots and lots of drinking.

Someone's having a giggle on Wikipedia and edited to say he's signed for Olympiakos. Would be a good signing though from what I've heard - and free. Not too old either - the Jimmy Case of the modern era. http://www.ftbpro.com/posts/joel.amorim/209459/joan-verd%C3%BA-is-on-southampton-s-shortlist First signing guess - Figueroa. Strengthen up that left back slot.
