Watching Saints' drop through the leagues and go into administration was terrible. You saved us and made us good. The Premiership is no longr a pipedream, but a reality, and we thank you for that. Never leave.

I also had the magnet dream - when remaking roads, a metallic element is added and, with my extremely limited knowledge of magnets, the metal in the roads and the metal in the hoverboard somehow repelled one another, allowing it to float. Well remembered Pancake! Yes it was the busiest working day of my life, not just the sheer volume of people collecting at Heathrow (with flights coming in and nowhere for people to go, Heathrow must've nearly reached capacity) but all the time wondering whether any more bombs were going to go off. I hope nothing like this ever happens again. My heart goes out to all those that perished, and to all my colleagues on the Tube that worked their nutsacks off that day, especially those that were at the bombing locations and had to walk down the tunnels to the dead. It must've been a horrific sight. I know what you think of Antonio Stevo, so I'll ignore that comment! It's definitely worth paying £500k for him, although if a better option made itself available, then I wouldn't be disheartened if we didn't go back for him.

I will drop my hot dog on the floor having just purchased it, during the first game against Plymouth at SMS, as I did last season - and it will become a seasonal tradition of mine. Cortese will start charging fans for using the air inside SMS during games. We'll draw Chelsea in the FA Cup 3rd round, beat them 2-0, after the game Terry speaks up and say "I'd rather be playing for Southampton, at least they're going places". Flybe get annoyed with their sponsorship ending that they start flying their planes just 10 metres above SMS during games.

If only we had a young utility player, or an injury prone but reliable player, or a warhorse of a player that could fill in at right back if needed... oh. FWIW Fonte started out as a right back at Palace and Harding filled in admirably in that position too. Perhaps we're aiming for an interchangeable defensive line...

I understand your point, but that's not to say we won't be signing someone that's being touted on here - the HCDAJFU list alone would rule us out of pretty much every transfer going! Pardew could sign someone that has been mentioned on here, but it won't be through ITKers, it'll through sheer guess work that his name were mentioned. Had someone said Richardson on the HCDAJFU list this summer, and not two years ago like I did, I doubt the plug would've been pulled. Stock may very well be the next signing, but given Pardew's signing record since joining, I don't doubt him in the slightest to pull the rabbit from the hat and bring in some we could only dream about...

Now we're coming to the end of the tournament I thought it about time we resurrected this thread. To be honest there are some shocking predictions on here, but I'm really quite proud of how patriotic, or perhaps optimistic, some of you were before the tournament kicked off! Goin by my predictions above, I was spot on with France, although Italy sort of stole their thunder, and spot on with England's exit. Saints will win the league next season - let's see whether I'm better with domestic predictions than World ones.
