Is Butterfield the 1st Saints player with a .....
SNSUN replied to ericofarabia's topic in The Saints
Redknapp was our manager - he was a w-Anchor -
"becoming obese" - I think I'm already there tbf!

Any update on this, or is it just a matter of biding time? It'd be a shame to see Bart go - after putting so much effort into his nurturing. If he stays, he's surely only a season or so away from the number one spot...

Not at all, I like to know exactly what is going on at the club at any one time, just as I do at every club. Yours sincerely, HMRC.

Heskey retires from international football
SNSUN replied to Smirking_Saint's topic in General Sports
Boo, if Heskey had played 6 more games, he might've got that eighth goal! The only England game I remember him being good in was the Germany 5-1, and that was probably because I was on such a cloud 9, I didn't even notice his crapness. CM96 got it right - he was always shyte for Leicester. -
I would murder a billion people to be able to work at home. I definitely think I would have the ambition and discipline to do it although, if truth be told, I do like writing books in my spare time and I haven't written anything for about five years. Still, work would be different. Sadly, short of breaking my spine and making the Underground stick a phone line in so I can answer customer service calls, it's not happening. (Which is probably just as well - I don't want to murder a billion people nor break my spine.)

I'd rather see Cortese in that directors box than Lowe. I think a few of his decisions have raised eyebrows, but on the whole it's tough to fault him - he wants results, he wants promotion, and he won't stop until we get them.

No More 'Come On You Reds' Or 'Red Army' This Season Huh?
SNSUN replied to TijuanaTim's topic in The Saints
We have a sash You're ******* gash We play in white You're ******* shyte etc etc I think it should be "Come on you Saints", which is what it should be anyway, although "reds" does roll better off the tongue. -
It's early days, but as good as MLT is, he'll never have the "legend" status that Francis Benali will one day achieve. Franny will be at the World Cup in 1998, you mark my words.

Cheers for all your advice guys, I must say people are very loyal to the phones they own! I deliberated long and hard and realised that in the future all phones will.have touch screen technology so I made the step up and after reading some reviews from pros, plumped for the HTC Desire. Love it so far but it'll take me, the technophobe, a while to learn its functions!

My mate at work has a Bold and likes it, but I tend to use it for internet more than anything else now, so that rules that out. Thanks for your reviews guys. I have thought long and hard about getting an I-Phone - it's easy to use, I know how to use it, and the new one has come out now with the camera so Ihave that luxury too. One of my mates just bought the Sony Ericsson X10 minipro which looks great too, but I think I'm 80% sure what I'm getting now. A bit more shopping and I should be there.

I believe you have made a mistake above and am thus issuing you with a blue card. :-) Technology in football will happen, it's just a matter of time.

I'm behind Holland, but to be fair, I couldn't really give a stuff who wins. Yesterday I forgot the competition was still running. Once the intense pressure of the three games a day group stages are over, I get bored.

Front four of JAckson, Lambert, Barnard and Connolly would be brilliant in this league, but without Lambert it does lack pace. That said, not having tall strikers will limit the amount of long ball football we play, which can only be a good thing.

Kris Commons linked. - Well it wouldn't be a HCDAJFU summer thread without him linked!

SNSUN replied to Dave Benson Phillips's topic in The Muppet Show
Aww man have I missed - making you all feel better because I was seemingly working every weekend. Well this weekend, I'm not! Friday - Hunt for mobile phones - go out in the evening and get drunk Saturday - Shopping with the missus during recovery, go out again and get drunk. Sunday - Recovery, Sunday Lunch with olds, then off to godparents suprise birthday for more drinks and food. Monday - Recovery. -
Time for a new phone, I've been using my trusty old Nokia 6300 for nearly 4 years now and it's been the best phone I've ever had - I did get a replacement phone about 18 months ago when renewing my contract but it was rubbish. I don't want an I-Phone as I have a Touch, but am not sure what to get. Now after exhausting online search engines looking for a new phone, I've narrowed it down to either: Nokia E72 - good looking candybar phone with QWERTY keyboard Nokia 900 - bulky but witha slideout QWERTY keyboard or take the plunge and go for a touchscreen phone, something I haven't used except on my Touch and go for the: HTC Desire - which has excellent reviews and is not unlike the I-Phone. Do any of you have these phones and like them? I'm really not sure which I want...

I have one and I must say is great. Watching TV shows and films is good - the loudspeaker isn't great though so buy a travel speaker. Can't fault it as an MP3, BUT I do wish I'd bought an i-phone before getting this - only being able to go online or use itunes when you have wi-fi or can find wi-fi is a faff. If I had an i-phone I could log on all the time. 'Sides from that, it's brilliant.

This thread is reminding me of so many drunken hazes! I don't usually black out when drunk but I was drinking in London one time with some colleagues, and I did black out for a few hours. When I came to my senses and realised where I was, I was in Hammersmith bus station approximately four hours after I left the pub I was in last, and I was dancing to classical music and had puke all down my shirt. To this day I can't remember what happened to me - I vaguely remember being in Yates's in Leicester Square, unless my mind concocted that one up itself. Getting on the first N9 that arrived, I'm stumbled on to the top deck to see two of my colleagues who were more suprised to see me than I was to see them. RIP to George - he died of alcoholism about a year after that London excursion.

Being a Windsor drinker of 11 years now, I have on more than one occassion run around on the grass next to the benches on the high street challenging "her maj" to a fight. Perhaps the worst incident when drunk occured one night in Windsor about 7 years ago now. Kicked out of Liquid for being unable to stand up straight, I stumbled down the road and headbuted a traffic light on Victoria Street. I then found a hidden place next to the Bank of Scotland building and slept there for about 7 hours. Waking up in bright sunshine, I walked home to Old Windsor, and down the Albert Road I crept behind the long bush to avoid a Police car and fell into the farm's drainage ditch. I got home stinking to high heaven and with nettle stings all over my hands from pulling myself out of the ditch. I also once decided to drop kick my best mate when drunk in the chest, around a month after he'd had a pacemaker inserted. Why I haven't quit drink I'll never know.

Was happy when he was released, was happier when we signed the League One team of the year right back to replace him. As a stand in right back, we could've had worse though. Average player with lots of pace. It's no coincidence that he's never settled at a team. Hope you have better luck with him.
-
I'd have thought the same about Kayne McLaggon before he was released. Shame about the injury. Awwwwww, hell no. (In the words of Will Smith)
-
Bomb the whole of the north east - that's bound to get him.
-
He had no future, so I wish him all the best at his new club. He must suit Donny's style of play better than our own. Must've been hard for all the players during the relegation season but at least he did his best. Good luck chap.
