  1. Your winky is safe.
  2. We'll win guys. My logic is that I watched the first two group games, and we played badly. I couldn't watch the Slovenia game due to work and we played well and won - I also can't watch the game on Sunday, so a win there too! The next England game I can see would be the semi-finals. If we get there, I think I may just ban myself from the TV. Realistically speaking, Germany will be our toughest opponents in years. The haven't really got any standout talent, but they have a quality team of good players. I fear them, in a way, I'm glad I can't watch the game, I'd get too nervous and shart. We CAN win, we have the players, but all 11 need to perform to 100%. Penalties? Nah, the game will be decided in normal time IMO.
  3. lol:@:Italy. It just goes to show with Italy and France going out that no team has a God given right to be in the last 16. I was thinking this about England, if we played badly against Slovenia, we deserved to go out, but we didn't. This'll be an interesting WC now, tis just a shame England only managed second spot, because the other side of the draw is looking much easier...
  4. 100% English. If one more person says I look Greek, I think I may cut off their winky and nuts and force feed them to a giraffe.
  5. I'm at Heathrow, and the planes are taking off and landing as normal. HTH
  6. Stupid though it sounds, I'd rather we got the big teams. Whilst the performance today was better, we still don't have enough firepower, and even teams like Serbia or Uruguay would tear us a new one. Play Germany, then perhaps Argentina, would give us a greater excuse if/and or when we go out.
  7. With Norwich going up and Wycombe going down, the only League One rivallry I now have amongst my friends is with the Brentford fans. Thus I would like to 5-0 thrashings in those respective fixtures please. (Especially at Brentford in the last but one game of the season!)
  8. Simple, buy last year's home kit and next year's special sash kit, cut them in half, and sew the back side of last year's kit onto the front of next years. Sash at the front, stripes at the back, problem solved, except for the backlash you'll get on here for destroying two Saints kits, and the backlash from the missus for messing up her sewing kit.
  9. James Johnson Dawson Upson Cole Lennon Carrick Barry Cole Crouch Defoe. That way we'd have an excuse if we get knocked out... (BTW We'll scrape a win here...)
  10. On the topic of players at the World Cup, I've been quite impressed with Daisuke Matsui who plays in Japan's midfield. He's 29, so not a young player, but has a great touch on the ball and good vision. He caught my eye playing against Cameroon. Reading a bit about him he plays his football in France for Grenoble who just got relegated. Realistically not one player in World Cup would come here, but we can dream - although whilst players like Danny S hi ttu are playing, there's always hope.
  11. Yep, he was a left back/left midfielder. He was quite good IIRC. A few people on the Saints forum of the time (can't remember which of the many incarnations it was) wanted him to stay - think he went over to America afterwards.
  12. Harding was my favourite player last season, a real hard worker with a good footballing brain. I'd be gutted if Dickson took his place. The only thing I can think, with Pards releasing all of our right backs, is that he's happy to put Harding there. He did well at right back when it was asked of him, I'm sure he'll do well again. Harding won't want to stick around if he's not first choice, and that alone saddens me.
  13. Shame, but with the addition of Dickson I'm not sure he'd have got a game. Glad he's gone to Norwich, he'll be worshipped up there, my missus will be chuffed.
  14. I remember it. A lot of running around, very little quality I thought. Perhaps he could do a job, but if Pards doesn't think so, then he should go the way of Molyneux and be released.
  15. If I catch any **** playing a vuvuzela at SMS, I will cram it down their throat and **** in the funnel.
  16. Mate at work said Spain would pee all over Switzerland, predicting a 4-0 caning. I told him not to underestimate the Swiss, they're getting better. Wish I'd put my money where my mouth is. :-(
  17. I'm glad somebody picked up on that!
  18. Unlike last season, when it's fair to say the cups got in the way, we'll have a much more complete team at the start of the season. I can't see the cups being too much of a distraction this season, though of course, if I were the manager, I may just tell the players to run on 80% effort.
  19. Bloody hell, we already know we're playing Bristol Rovers in the FA CUP semi-final, damn we're good. (And so are Brizzle...)

    What if

Until they give me reason to doubt them, I'm happy with the current set up. I live in the now, not the future, otherwise I'd die with worry.
  21. I'd rather have Antonio, but wouldn't be averse to having Paps here.
  22. Well for peeps that do this in their own time, I think it looks pretty damn good. (For sliming up your pooper, can I be protected against future infractions... :-))
  23. Just for you SS ;-) Sweet. I'm never a fan of change, but it's not bad. Are we only having this one skin, or will other skins be brought over from the old site?
  24. I'm looking forward to this game tonight, I genuinely hope the underdogs win. I may even have a can of Fosters while watching it.
  25. I've never wanted Robert Green as England keeper - he's far too error prone for his club, let alone for his country. James is my number one, but as he's not fit, I'd play Hart in the next game - I think Hart is the future of England's goalkeepers anyway. Dropping Green will reck his confidence, but if it's best for the team, then Capello simply has to sacrifice the player, but will have to be a good man manager about it. All that said, he won't be dropped - he'll start against Algeria if James isn't fit.
