  1. So is my missus, but I don't change her everyday. (Though sometimes I wish I could...Shhhhhhhh!)
  2. It doesn't look to rosy at the moment, our home form is dire, and we haven't got a pot to pee in. I suppose there's an optimistic/pessimistic way to take things at the moment, but is it easier to admit we're doomed to lighten the burden we potentially suffer at the end of the season (or alternately survive and be amazed), or not admit defeat until it potentially happens? I'm caught in two minds. My colleagues are arses, and they make it difficult to be a Saints fan, but I stand up and take the banter, as they do when their respective teams arse up. If I accept relegation, even at this stage in the season, I can turn around in May, shrug my shoulders and say "Meh, I told you it would happen", thus making it more bearable. Alternately, I could be defiant, tell them we'll be safe, and hope with every wish in my body that we stage a minor miracle. Tis a hard life for all Saints fans at the moment. What do you reckon?
  3. To lighten the mood somewhat, can we put together a team of players who have only temporarily called themselves Saints players but done a good job of doing it? This can include players we've had on loan and then signed re: Rasiak. Thinking back, I suppose the one that sticks out is Ronnie Ekelund, but with so many loans in the last few years especially, can we make a full team? Would Jack Cork be in there? (Any Marcelo Sarmiento votes will not be taken seriously! :-))
  4. I'd rather ground share with Portsmouth than play at SMS at the moment. One win all season = relegation.
  5. I received 17 pairs of socks for Christmas alone. I am sock king. And yes, I do believe socks can be worn a couple of days before smells set in.
  6. ....was actually my first reaction when I heard what had happened. RIP geese.
  7. Tis times like this I feel young. Oh, and MHR.
  8. Depends how ****ged out I am. If I struggle to sleep, I generally read a paper or watch the news, as it fills my head with images which I can then dream about, an thus fall asleep more easily. For some reason I slept very well yesterday because of the plane crash in New York.
  9. Friday - work Saturday - work Sunday - work. January just gets shi tter and shi tter.
  10. Let the City fans have their glory. It won't last and if the owners pull out in the next few years, they'll be bankrupt quicker than John Prescott can eat a burger.
  11. I lol'd.
  12. I got two tops from my godmother that were never going to fit me in a million years. Everyone knows I am a fat bloater, and normally I wouldn't mind if I could drop a stone and wear them, but they were so so small that no amount of fitness training, weight loss and holding my breath would get me into them.

    Kaka

I hear we're either going to sign Kaka or Deon Burton.
  14. ...because he's lived in a bubble his whole life! It sounds like this man had very little life, probably never going out etc. If you're ever single, and don't go out (as I found out a few years ago(!)), it's very easy to amass a ton of money. Having a life doesn't come cheap.
  15. I see he's been released by Palace. Worth a second chance or leave well alone?
  16. assuming ron davies gets voted for in the a team, which by the way Landrew i think we should have done first, then i vote for keegan in this one.
  17. Brett Ormerod was a legend. SNigger
  18. He'll stay one way or another. If we stay up, he'll have deserved it and learned some valuable lessons, if we go down, he'll be a better manager in a lower league. Either way I can think he's on a hefty wage, but even so I would be suprised if we'd let him go when finances are tight.
  19. The Nottingham Forest game before Christmas was a must win, and we somehow bottled it, and I have no reason to suspect we'll do otherwise against Doncaster. Yes we won yesterday, and everyone is more positive, but we won with a less than inspiring performance. That said, Doncaster are probably the weakest team in the league this season, and we could do them with the new additions. A right back please or another CB will make me happy.
  20. Channon got the first spot, Ron gets the second. I still think we should play 4-3-3 in this format. :-) Ron please.

    We will stay up

Good to see the optimism but i still think one way or another we'll go down. We'll own League One though.
  22. i get the feeling we'll do an Ebbsfleet long before we do an AFC Wimbledon.
  23. A massive game against Doncaster could open up a five point gap between them and us, and we would also be out the relegation zone if we win. I don't see us winning against Norwich, but a draw could make this month the most bearable of this season.
