Tend to agree, whilst Angus is a great addition to our squad, it wasn't a priority while we still have Fraser. Not only that but I think it makes it much more difficult to offload Fraser because we have effectively said that he's not even good enough for our bench. Who's going to take a chance on a keeper whose 3rd choice and commands massive wages. Should have left the Gunn deal and played Fraser off the bench and for cup games in the hope that we could move him on in the next window. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Quite close, give or take 100 million..... https://talksport.com/football/342055/revealed-top-25-clubs-most-expensive-squads-europe-including-crystal-palace-and-everton/

I'm all for giving young players a chance, but I think that sometimes we as fans are far to eager to throw them into the big league. We forget that managers have a responsibility to make sure that their exposure in the big time is at the right time, i.e they also need to protect the players from bombing out and losing confidence altogether. Getting young players game time in the lower leagues, especially under the stewardship of a coach like Clough, (although I wouldn't necessarily cherish working with Pulis, although he was a defender, so Sam will be ok) is probably good development as far as I'm concerned. It's about getting the right balance.

Ahh right, clear as mud. Now, back to that momentum curve..... Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Mate, it's Merseyside, 90 bloody minutes is too long, never mind a holiday...! Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Oh well, not at all what I wanted, but is up my neck of the woods so I might toddle along for this one if for nothing else other than to check out those legendary ground-breaking dugouts. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Really... who'd've thought...!

Excellent - we can play against them in the next round of the Carabao Cup....!

It's got to be Stoke away, hasn't it....?

Real reality check, we've been 'relegation fodder' for most of the seasons that I have been supporting Saints (1968ish), so evidently we are pretty good at dealing with that issue. There is no reason why he wouldn't have come here when the deal was originally discussed.

I don't know how a momentum curve works. Could you explain it a little more please. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Do well to take a point, and I'd be happy with that. Palace are a very direct team anyway, but we need to work hard to stop the crosses. Gonna have nightmares thinking about some of their giants taking on Cedric at the back stick. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

West Brom away for me, great times there last season, always a good away day, and only an hour down the road for me. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Said this was a confidence booster and that I would settle for a nil nil, ended up with a nice brucie bonus at the end of the night. Decent away result. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

This is absolutely spot on as far as I'm concerned. I honestly think that if you are a fan of a certain age, it's probably easier to understand and appreciate where we are right now, and easier to take the disappointments as well. We'll have the odd success here and there, we will be relegated again, but unless we are taken over by some sugar daddy, we'll pretty much yo yo around lower prem, upper championship. That's very kind and understanding of you. I was going to offer a completely different theory..! [emoji6] Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Fare assessment, and one I wouldn't disagree with, but the next step for Poch is to win something. Ultimately this is how managers are judged, and it shouldn't be beyond Spurs to be winning the FA or Carabao cup. Having said that, even if he fails to do that, so long as he keeps them relatively high I can see his next job as another step up. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Well aware that it's a contradiction Larry, my point being, that I can't wait to see who comes in after him, but more importantly, how long it takes the usual suspects to call for his removal as well. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Having read this thread, I think the problems with the fan base are pretty easy to sort out really. SFC fans must: Be single - no wives or girlfriends. Be older than 17 - no kids or chavvy youths. Be younger than 30 - no overage geriatrics or pensioners. Be male - no females. Football is no place for ladies. Be able to sing non stop for 90 minutes - no passive 'clapper' personalities allowed. Be able to drink 3 pints in 15 minutes - coz it's what proper football geezers do. Be members of the SWF - gotta be able to collectively slag the players, club, board after the game. Once we have narrowed our fan base down to that, the atmosphere will return and everybody will be happy. Does anybody know if anti aging cream actually works? Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Whilst I have no beef whatsoever with Les Reed, I can't wait till he does actually leave the club. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
