  1. Would really like to see us win this one convincingly, and keep a clean sheet. (I don't want much!). Much as I like Hull and want them to stay up, we played well last night and if we can maintain that form, bring it into this match and take our chances in front of goal - we should win. On the flip side - they are fighting for their lives and games are running out for them. Their away form ain't good so I reckon if we score first then we should go on and win. If they score first - could be a long afternoon. But ever the optimist - 3 nil home win.

    Puel out

Jesus christ, really. So why exactly would we be firing him? Because he got a mid table team to a mid table position, and a cup final this season? We'd be a laughing stock. Some of the dins on here need to get some perspective of what the manager has had to deal with this season. What do people really expect, champions bloody league. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  3. Away team at high flying Chelsea, thought we played OK for the most part of it. They obviously have much more quality than us but we kept going right until the end, so that was good to see. Have to say though, I feel for JRod, he really looks completely out of sorts. Overall though, not overly concerned, good effort by the lads. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  4. Quick in body, slow in thought unfortunately. However his game is not about goals (as we know), it's about pulling defenders all over the place and making space for others.
  5. I was going to actually post, asides from Fonte, but hey ho. The rest - your usual straw-clutching response.
  6. Exactly, only a simpleton would fail to grasp this. Can I make it any simpler, since our return to the top flight how many of our players or managers have left for a club belowe us in the league? Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  7. You 'imagine' most things as far as I can tell. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  8. Which is more than realistic for a club of our size and stature. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks, I do try. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  10. Clearly Puel is the better manager, he has managed to get us to a cup final, comfortable in mid table, despite losing our best player, having no strike force for the majority of the season, having his established captain sold from under his feet, and having to rely on some of the kids for the majority of the season. All of that whilst having to negotiate lots more games as well. All in all a remarkable achievement from Claude Puel. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  11. For the legs left on him, 8 million for Fonte was good business. We may have had a slightly better chance in the cup final, who knows, (VVD was our big loss) but nobody is going to agree to a new contract package based on what our chances are going to be in a single game, cup final or not. He may be an established centre back but that's not to say that his form wasn't on the wane and he overvalued himself. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  12. Exactly, there are up and coming players, and there are those looking at the twilight of their careers. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  13. It's not about adapting, the form might return, although years are not on his side. It's about the money, we were (rightly in my opinion) not willing to meet what he wanted, and therfore opted to let him leave. And for the money we got, let's face it, whether you love Les or not, good business really. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk
  14. I think the bottom line is, with a little bit of hindsight (and pushing fans emotions aside), the club (big bad Les) were actually spot on in their decision to let Fonte go. Given the form he's shown at his new club, I'm not so sure that he is a big miss for us. Don't get me wrong, he was a great player for us, but the fact remains (and always will) no player is bigger than the club. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

    SISU

They did, took over 40,000 fans to Wembley, so the fan base is still there, but they are not willing to commit to the club because they have been so badly mismanaged. Can't say I blame them either to be honest. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

Your first two words are correct, you should have stopped there.
  18. I'm not quite so sure that it was as easy as you make out here, but in principle I agree - it was much easier to show progress with Everton than it was with us. Whether we like it or not Ron is a very good manager, but that said most half decent managers would have been able to improve on what Martinez achieved with them. Sent from my SM-T580 using Tapatalk

  21. He's a kid, with the full glare of the media upon him, set there by the man who really should be protecting him. Situation not helped by some pundits (with united connections) happy to add to the criticism he has already received. Most people would find that hard to deal with. Personally I feel for the lad - let's face it, he is a very good footballer, suffered an horrific injury and now struggling to regain his form. I think he's a bit of an 'easy target' and is currently being used as a bit of a 'deflector shield', perhaps to mask others shortcomings. I wonder where the agent is now, you know, the one who was advising him that a United move would be a good idea.
  22. It's the same every match thread, we have some right dins...... Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
  23. Very good.....not that he will get it - but very good.
  24. Yep - exactly - poor finishing again - missed the target. I love trolling.
